A Note from our Editor-in-Chief
Thank you so much readers and writers for your support to our magazine. This is our third issue and we are both grateful and honoured to all who advertise and distribute our wonderful publication. We appreciate you one and all. There truly is abundance everywhere. I believe money never is the issue of any circumstance, but a wonderful tool we use to bring about and assist us in the manifestation of our dreams and desires. We create the energy that gives money its power, not the other way around. Throughout this issue you will read many different opinions about what money is, what money means, how it is used and what place it has here in this physical plane. You will read how each of our writers has experienced money and they will share with you their personal struggles and achievements with money. It is very easy right now to look around and say there just isn’t enough. We urge you to keep reading and use the tools inside these pages to move beyond what you think you see and learn to trust in the endless supply of the universe. This lesson has been a hard one for me but it has been the most rewarding to learn, for I myself have been homeless and lived in poverty. So if I can learn to move beyond where I was to where I now am, so can you. Namaste Renee.

Rainbows in my heart
by Renee
Today was my day with Molly. She had just been dropped off and given her mother lots of hugs goodbye. I looked down at my grand daughter and handed her $5.00. Molly looked up and smiled ‘thanks nana, a dollar for me?’ she said as she took the note from me. ‘Well yes molly, but it’s $5.00 altogether so put it in your pocket and when we go shopping you can buy something if you like.’ My 4yr old grand daughter examined it first, looking it over and made a funny face at it as she stuffed it into her jeans pocket with her Mickey mouse hands. The $5.00 buried in her pocket and forgotten for the moment she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the awaiting garden. There had been a warm rain that had fallen a couple of hours ago, the grass was still a little damp but the sun was generously warming the grass and the concrete stepping stones. There was a beautiful smell of pine and lavender in the air. I had just planted a few eucalyptus trees in the corner of the yard, which molly had eagerly helped me with. They too gave off a wonder scent. Molly took me in the garden to study flowers, chase butterflies, dragonflies and count the ladybugs ‘m&m spots’ as she called them. She was fascinated with everything caught up completely in every second of every moment. There were still worms that had popped up on the sidewalk and stepping stones from the earlier rain. They were wiggling all around. ‘Eww nana, get them. Hurry put them back in the dirt they need water’ she cried. So of course there I was bending down gently picking them up and putting them back in the dirt. This of course was my job as molly was to scared to touch them, but compelled to save them. ‘Put them under the dirt nana, under the dirt!’ she squeaked excited as she bent down infort of me, her eyes big and her face inches away from the dirt. ‘They can’t breath on top, don’t you know?’ ‘Over here nana, over here another one’ molly cried until we had saved all the worms in the garden. Once molly was satisfied her rescue mission was complete she jumped up and started chasing butterflies. Spreading her arms out as wings she flew off around the garden. After our adventures in the enchanted garden we had some lunch and set off to the world, much to molly’s delight. Sitting in her car seat looking out the window she started her normal question asking. The sort of questions we would ask god if we had the chance. In no time at all we arrived at our destination. This was our favourite place to walk around and shop. The outside plaza was filled with vendors selling all their handmade goodies infront of quaint little shops that rose up behind them. Each one was unique, there were flowers, fruits, crystals, chimes, burning incense, carpets and psychic shops galore. Molly and I came here to browse frequently, we were also regular patrons to the crystal shop. The ocean is below us and we always make our way down to the sand after we have had a good look around. Today there was a music man playing his banjo, ringing his chimes and singing. He was on a beautiful carpet seated on a small stool. Molly loves it when there is music here, and judging by the crowed that surrounded him they must like it as well. Molly pulls me and gets closer to the music man. She jumps right by him clapping her hands page 4
together. Her little feet just can’t keep still and her legs are doing froggy hops. In her excitement she twirls around and starts singing. She makes up her own little words with her unique chirp and gets lost in the moment with the music. Behind me is my friend Tiffany who pokes my back with her finger, I turn and engage in conversation with my old friend. ‘sing nana sing!’ molly yells as she tugs on my pant leg. Tiffany and I start laughing and join molly in her clapping and singing. I always have to coax her away in her moment of bliss or I will never get anything done. We said goodbye to Tiffany and headed away from the music man to the crystal shop. I pick up a few stones and I find Molly very busy in a bowl of heart shaped rose quartz. ‘Pick one if you want’ I tell her, ‘and come on so we can get down to the beach and find some shells.’ She final decides on 1 and clutches it in her little hand. Perring over the top of the counter she places it ever so gently next to the other crystals I have sitting there. ‘Hello dear’ says Penny, as she picks the heart shaped rose quartz up its so nice to see you again.‘That will be $3.33 please’ she says. Molly as if remembering something truly forgotten clutches her pockets and looks up at me putting her little fingers to her face. Oh,Nana I gave it away’ she exclaims with open arms infront of her. ‘You gave it away’ I asked ‘what did you give away?’ ‘My dollar nana.’ ‘You did?’ I replied rather surprised ‘Who did you give it to?’ ‘To the music man, I put it in his big cup.’ I thought back and realized he had a tin cup next to him on the carpet. ‘Why did you do that?’ I was curious to her reason. ‘Because he makes rainbows nana’ she said throwing her hands in the air. ‘ Don’t you know?’ ‘What rainbows Molly?’ I was now even more puzzled then before. ‘Rainbows in my heart’ she exclaimed with glee ‘he makes rainbows. He made a rainbow and gave it to me.’ She said with her serious face on. ‘Oh’ I said questioning her no more like I got exactly what she was talking about, I looked at Penny winked and paid for our crystals. Molly took the little bag Penny gave her and we left with Molly blowing many kisses back into the store filling it and Penny up with her love. We then had to walk back through the plaza to get down to the beach. The music seemed louder as we walked back into the crowed. This time I was drawn to stop and really look and listen to the music man. People were still crowded around him singing, dancing, clapping and moving to the rhythm of the bongo drums. And there was his tin cup. And it was filled with money, infact it was overflowing. Then I saw it. The rainbow, I saw it and I felt it. The rainbow heart that was radiating out of the music man, it surrounded him and filled the space we had all gathered. This rainbow flowed through all of us and was now in me as well. He truly did create rainbows of he heart and his manifestations were indeed contagious. As I looked down at Molly her face glowing with happiness I knew this was the best $5.00 she had ever spent and isn’t that what money is all about. For when you give with love you can only get love in return. We left the music man and the crowd and headed down to the beach. Running ahead of me was Molly and her infinite possibilities, but I was not far behind.

Dear Ones~ Oh, the power of money! The power that you give it amazes us. There are so many perceptions and connotations surrounding this most interesting subject. To those who obsess about their lack of this currency, more worries, more stresses, and more lack presents into their lives. For those who concentrate more on their abundances of wealth, no matter how great or how small, more abundance is attracted into their reality. What truly is money? It is just paper. It is just metal. Why does this spark such strong reactions from you? Is not money just an exchange of energy like everything else in your world? When you think of the other things that present in your life as an energy exchange, most of them are associated with emotion – the exchange of love, of compassion and of negative emotions and boundaries as well. There is also the energy exchange of touch, of service and other forms of bartering and trading. If you were to view money as a simple energy exchange – you giving the energy of what you have earned in order to receive different forms of energy – things would flow so much easier in the financial areas of your life. Look at the way you view other forms of trading energy. When you give your love to a friend you do not worry that you may run out of love, do you? Does the “cost” of love change or its value? Can you suffer from “love bankruptcy” or have your heart foreclosed upon? Now we realize these are very silly and ridiculous analogies, but we present them to you to make a point. Everything boils down to your belief system and what power you give your beliefs. Yes, money affects all of your lives, as this is your means of energy exchange in which you support yourselves. Look closely and see where your own ideas are centered on money. Some believe that money is the root of all evil. How do you honestly feel about it? Does it have a negative impact on you? Do you feel deserving of abundance? Does money flow easily to you from all directions? Does the universe support you in all that you need? Answer these questions, Dear Ones, and this will lead you to the larger point to look at. All of your beliefs are based on what you feel about yourself, how you feel on the inside. If you love yourself and recognize that you warrant abundance on every level, then you open the door for abundance to come through. If you doubt yourself and your merits, then the door of abundance closes and you create a vacuum for fear and lack. You are all worthy of every gift and positive energy your world and this universe has to offer. We see that plainly and ever so clearly. It is up to you to see it, to realize it and most of all to feel it. Welcome in the abundance on all levels as this is your birthright, Dear Ones. Know this to be true. ~*~

Prosperity is a Way of Living and Thinking by Karen Mann. Why is it that some people can feel financially secure with very little money; where as other people think they need more money to be safe? Why do some people with millions of dollars still need more to feel it is “enough”?
This is because financial security or prosperity is not really about how much money you have. Prosperity is a reflection of what you are thinking and how you are feeling. Throughout my life I have struggled financially. I live pay check to pay check, without any savings or safety net. For me this pattern is there, no matter how much I’m earning. If a “disaster” happened (eg if my car breaks down); I usually find myself needing to ask someone else for financial help. Over my life there have been many occasions where I have been rescued financially, by friends, family, co-workers and partners. While this situation is embarrassing, it is also obviously providing some kind of “pay off” (pun intended) for me. I was once told that if you need to be rescued financially, you may be feeling needy & unloved. For me this is very true. I create situations where people are asked to prove that they like or love me, by “putting their money where their mouth is”. This patterns where others prove how much they love me by rescuing me is helping to heal that part of me that feels it wasn’t loved enough as a child. My current partner has a very different (almost opposite) approach to financial matters than I do. She is good at saving and making sure she has some money set aside for an emergency. For her, having a safety net or a back up plan is imperative. While this could just be seen to be good money management skills, there are times where her risk adverse nature can mean she could miss out on some fun opportunities. For example, holidaying overseas “on a shoestring budget” is not something she’d ever feel comfortable with. If you’re worried about running out of money, it may be that you’re afraid of being left alone or of being abandoned. When I look at my partner’s childhood, her father divorced her mother when she was just 5 years old, so I can understand where this fear of abandonment came from on an emotional level. On a practical level it is also understandable that after watching her mother being abandoned and being left to care for children, with little money to spare, it is understandable that she needs to feel like there is money in reserve “just in case”.
page 8
Then there’s my friend who is always feeling like she is going to be cheated. She is very cynical, gets multiple quotes before committing to any expenditure, and is always suspicious and wary of being “taken for a ride” by anyone she is paying. Atlanta Maridian says that if you think people are out to cheat you, then you are afraid of being manipulated or abused. I’m not sure exactly what has happened to cause this friend to be so wary, and it probably doesn’t matter so much, but it is an interesting pattern for her to be aware of. How you feel about money and approach your finances certainly can teach us a lot about how we feel deep down and what our concerns in life are. It’s interesting to look at your own thought patterns and belief systems and start to become aware of what they are. Becoming aware of these patterns gives you a wonderful opportunity to start making some different decisions and experience your life differently. For example, I am learning to save some money for emergencies, as I learn, in tandem, to love myself enough that I don’t need others to rescue me and prove their love for me. Over the course of our relationship, my partner is learning to take a few more financial risks, which I think is also a sign that she is less afraid of being abandoned. My cynical friend may choose to wean herself from needing to gather so many quotes, every time she makes a purchase, as she begins to worry less about being cheated.

with Raven King of Pentacles / Abundance The King of Pentacles is a cool guy: meaning, he literally does not lose his cool in times of financial crisis. He or she is at the top of their game and uses a hard-earned wisdom to ride the cycles of life. In the Osho Zen Tarot, the King looks like one those hippy-guru types who find pleasure in the “small” things: fresh air, a beautiful summer’s day, a lovely picnic. Pentacles
He’s casually sitting on what looks like a giant book, symbolizing the knowledge he has accrued during his trek through the Pentacles suit. He offers a gorgeous lotus flower in a gesture of peace and beckons us to stay awhile. That picture can be pretty annoying when you can’t pay the bills or were just handed a pink slip. Hippies? you may say. They don’t care about money or clothes. Guess what? The King of Pentacles is loaded, and not just with money. He has the freedom of mind and heart to weather - and dare I say? - enjoy whatever comes. The moon is over his left shoulder (intuition) while the sun (action) is above his right, an essential balance. The King is fully connected to God/Goddess/Source Energy and deeply trusts in the rhythm of life. He has known times of poverty, depression and burnout-which help him appreciate abundance now. The Pentacles suit reflects earthly abundance such as a beautiful home, wealth, career, relationship; all of the elements that we desire in our daily lives, as well as the spiritual connection needed to stay grounded.
KING © 2009 ArtfulBlessings
Regardless of how the stock market rises and falls or the ever-increasing unemployment numbers, practice being the King of Pentacles. Expect abundance. Ignore the news and naysayers. Be like the lilies of the field: know that we are always connected to the ultimate Source of abundance, the Creator of the Universe--if we choose to be.

Totem for adundance – Buffalo.
From the Earth Spirits - Power animal Messages Received by Leeza Robertson
The American buffalo/bison is a symbol of abundance and manifestation. Buffalo teaches us that when we invite source into our daily life all that is needed will always be provided. The amplified size of both the head and shoulders governed by the top 3 chakras remind us that we are active co-creators in the manifestation process. The sheer size of the shoulder and head region of the buffalo indicates the ability to push things through, especially when we feel frustrated or enraged by a situation. This however may not always be of benefit to you or others invested in the final outcome. For buffalo is top heavy which reminds us to get grounded and be connected to the earth before we open ourselves up and connect to source energy. Buffalo and buffalo people know that following the easiest path is the more harmonious path especially when it comes to manifestation. Buffalo shows us that if we continue to work towards our goals grounded and with no resistance, then source will create the easiest path at the time for the most prosperous results. This is working with the natural flow and rhythm of the universe.

Money: Motive Matters
Best Selling Author Tony Stubbs
Money has gotten a bad rap as people misquote, “Money is the root of all evil,” when the real saying is, “Love of money is the root of all evil.” Money simply symbolizes energy, which can be applied to any cause, from absolute good to absolute evil. Many people put a lot of effort into acquiring this elusive symbol of energy, and are usually disappointed when their affirmations and visualizations fail. Disillusioned when their efforts to make The Secret work for them fail, they give up in disgust and go back to playing the lottery. So what are they doing wrong? They seek abundance for all the wrong reasons – to look good (great home, new car, etc.) to impress others and thereby get more love. Instead, it’s important to become the love you seek, and only then go after abundance so you can disseminate that love in service to others, thereby giving more love. And therein lies the difference – giving love rather than getting love. So before you do any more abundance affirmations and visualizations, ask, “Why do I want this? To give love or get more?” It it’s the latter, you have some serious reevaluation ahead if you want the Law of Attraction to work for you. Assuming your motives are those of service to the One rather than service-to-self, a great technique to use is to get clear on what you’re creating, and then project yourself three months into the future, when it’s been manifested. Then look back three months to today and give gratitude for the situation manifesting the way it did. With this technique, you’re actually embracing the manifestation as part of your history rather than separating from it by telling the Universe you need something in your future, which implies you don’t currently have it. Gratitude for abundance already being in your life is essential, rather than being on the sidelines looking in, needing and wanting it, for that stance clearly separates you from abundance. And going into the future where it already exists is a powerful way to connect to it. Together, these techniques put you in the field of creation, where your images out-picture into the reality you experience. Once there, the only ways to get kicked out are: (1) selfish motives, and (2) fear-driven need rather than love-driven gratitude. Of course, neither of these techniques is easy, but with a little practice, you can become adept at them and put the Law of Attraction to work. Tony Stubbs lives locally and has written several books, including An Ascension Handbook, Living with Soul, Death Without Fear, and Every Ending Is a New Beginning. Money Awarenes Written by Kahealani, Hawaiian Past Life Medium
Money awareness is basically money consciousness. The way you think and feel about money is going to give you abundance or nothing. These thoughts can either give you stability with money or take it away. Just a hint of thinking poorly, worrying about it, or saying the economy is bad will bring disaster to your own money flow.In our current economic situation many people are trying to save money but losing the battle of creating a positive flow of money in their lives. It is due to their thought patterns of hording their money, “incase”, we need it later. They are worrying that the money situation isn’t going to change for a long time. If we don’t change the conscious thinking of the flow of money then these economic times will truly be a long hard road for many people. If you are like me and don’t want to suffer such a road then allow your thoughts to change to positive ones. Allowing the positive thoughts of money to revolve around you, it will give you the increased flow of money in your life. But if that doubt creeps in then you’ll create the opposite. Don’t allow the thought patterns of those whose life lessons are to learn about being poor or to lose a lot of money affect your life. Give yourself the chance to feel the positive flow of money revolving around you. There are several ways to manifest money but it is ultimately based on your thought patterns: thinking poorly about money brings poor results while thinking positively or abundantly brings abundant results. It only takes a hint of doubt to block the flow but it also only takes a hint of hope to crack the dam. If you choose to continue to reinforce your positive thoughts on money then eventually those positive thoughts will break the dam and the flow of money restored in your life.Give yourself a moment to think of all the negative thoughts on money you have. Write them down. Then write its opposite next to it. Always write positive notations next to the negative that way when you think of the negative you can tell yourself, “No, I want to think or say, __”. Then write you goals for money down. And don’t just think about getting caught up and saving money, think about the fun things money brings you. (Please don’t feel sad when you do this because it will create the opposite. Positive money thinking and happy money thinking, creates positive happy money flow. You want to break the money dam so that money will flow to you abundantly.) Write down the rewards you want for achieving paying the bills or saving money. If you pay your bills monthly then give yourself a monthly reward. If you only save money when you can, give yourself a reward when you do save it.
page 14
Rewards are fun and it gives you a positive outlook with money revolving around yourself. You have a task to work on and when it is achieved, you give yourself a kind of payment for doing a good job and achieving the task. By doing these little things for yourself it will give you a better understanding of how you think about money and the flow of it will increase. You are creating the positive money flow by changing your thinking of money, creating goals for money, and rewarding yourself for achieving these goals. One small crack will lead to another and another. Eventually, those cracks will break the dam that is holding the flow of money from you. How Do You See Money? It has been said that, in polite company, you should never talk about religion, politics, sex, or money. And yet, it is such an interesting time to talk about money. And I’m sure we can all be polite about it, don’t you think? So, let’s talk “money”! What is money? Is it “energy”? Is it “the root of all evil”? Does it “make the world go around?” Or could it be, simply, paper (and coin)? Could it possibly be that we have given enormous amounts of power to paper? Still, whatever you may think that money is; there are few on this planet that would consciously choose to live without it. And yet, when we give such power to something, we tend to fear being without it. Haven’t we have all experienced that we seem to attract that which we really, really desire – and that which we really, really fear? So, perhaps the best way to look at money is as a tool that makes some things flow more smoothly, but as nothing more than that. Money is a tool that gives me, among other things, the ability to live in the home of my choosing. However, without money, I’m still alive and living somewhere (perhaps on my mother’s couch, perhaps in a box on the street). I have experienced having very little money. I remember a day, many years ago, when I paid all of my bills and had no money for groceries until my next paycheck (in two weeks). Trust me; I’ve never gone hungry - not really. Something always showed up, like people giving me some food. I’ve experienced enough of the highs and lows to know that my essence, that part of me that is real, is always taken care of. Once I got past the fear of the perceived consequences of having no money, then I was open to actually allowing the flow of money into my life. I’ve come to know that everything will be O.K., even when I can see no solution. It is often at the moment of surrender, when I stop trying to create a solution; that doors begin to open for me. I am a big proponent of “giving it to God” (higher levels, the universe, whatever word you like). When I find myself in a situation with no clear solution, I ask my “support team” to take command. My job is not to figure things out. My job is to listen to my higher guidance, and walk through the doors that are shown to me. So far, they’ve never led me astray. So, consider how you view money, and whether you are more in fear of not having it than you are in desire of it. Take away the fear, and the desire. Give command to your higher levels, and watch for the doorways of opportunity to be shown. It takes some practice, some courage, and some getting used to – but it’s a great way to live!

REIKI AND ABUNDANCE: Is Reiki an answer to our money woes? In some ways money is just the paper and metal we carry around in our pockets or bring to the bank or exchange for the goods and services we use. In actual fact it is what comes to us from these monetary exchanges that affects our lives and enables or hinders our progress and place in the world. What we are really talking about when we discuss our desire for money is the need for abundance: the need for a level of comfort and ease that will enable us to live and prosper as we choose. If we are not achieving the levels we desire our quest is to find the paths and solutions that will best bring about their fulfillment. This can at times seem like a never-ending quest.
Garry L. Douglas LMT, NCTMB, is a Reiki Master and Teacher. He is a licensed massage therapist & reflexologist, and has a practice in Henderson, Nevada. He was trained at the Cayce/ Reilly School of Massotherapy, which is administered by Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, Virginia. For appointments or Reiki classes call 702-812-6304.
Is there a place in this quest for Reiki? Certainly there is. Before we can embark on a course towards fulfillment of our desires we must prime ourselves as best we can. Here Reiki can play a vital part in achieving that end. It is important that our physical, mental and spiritual selves are in a healthy and positive state. The healthy circulation of blood and oxygen to every cell in the body is essential if we are to successfully meet the challenges with which we are confronted: our economic and employment situations; our family and community responsibilities. Poor health can stifle our thinking and lessen our preparedness for what comes our way daily. Stress and worry will almost always hinder our chances of success. Our life energy, or chi, should flow within us robustly and without obstruction. Our chakras need to be healthy and balanced, clear and vibrant. If we can achieve this balance our psychic abilities will not only become alert but heightened. This in turn will increase our awareness and receptiveness to positive opportunities that come our way. An abundance of health means an abundance of opportunities for success because of the increase in our receptivity. Our hunches will have more focus and meaning. Whether we seek new employment opportunities or other meaningful changes we need to be able to recognize them when they are presented to us. So, can Reiki increase your wealth? Well, the healing power and the love that is Reiki aligns and coordinates the body, mind and spirit: the essential state of being we should all be seeking. When we are in this state our awareness and receptiveness is keener than ever. We attract that which we truly desire: that which we really need. The contentment and abundance of joy experienced can lead us to positive outcomes in all areas of our lives. The wealth we seek then becomes a means to an end and not the be all and end all so often hoped for in the past. page 17
