Divine Intervention Ministries Mission Statement Our main goal is to bring hurting and broken people into a relationship with the only one who is capable of healing their wounded hearts. I personally look at addiction of any kind as sin. Our heavenly Father took that burden away from us when He chose to die on the cross. Through His shed blood He promised to take our sins and separate them from us “As far as the East is from the West” I know this personally. For 25 yrs. I was addicted to anything that would mask the disappointment and shame I had brought to myself and my family. I hated to look in the mirror. My choice of friends was people who were in the same boat as me. I had lost everything and everyone I once held dear to my heart. My own children hated to be alone with me; they truly thought I was going to die in front of them. Being alone was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was then I was able to take a long look at myself and see what I had become. Psalm 18: 4-6 The ropes of death surrounded me; the floods of destruction swept over me. The grave wrapped its ropes around me; death itself stared me in the face. But in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from His sanctuary; my cry reached His ears. Psalm 40: 1-2 I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord, and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. I can say with confidence, I am no longer in that boat with my friends. In order to be an anchor, you have to get out of the boat you’re in…. God wants to use each of for His Glory. God actually wants us free from all distress, bondage and torment- even if it seems an ingrained part of our personality. We can be free! We can be that person we are on the inside. We can change. 1 Peter 5:9-11 I resist the devil, steadfast in the faith. Now may the God of all grace, who called me to His eternal, glory in Christ Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish me. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen! Perfect-- to finish or complete; to improve or make skillful. Confirm—to make strong; to settle to make certain. Strengthen—to make strong or stronger; to reinforce. Establish—to make stable or firm, to set up; to found; to fix or settle Strong—able to resist attack; healthy, not easily broken; firm; solid; steadfast; well established; determined. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 His weapons can destroy any stronghold no matter how deeply rooted! Jeremiah 32:17 Nothing is too hard for Him!
