Data Mining And Data Base: Is it a Manipulation? Explaination From Islamic View.

Data Mining - Data mining is the process of extracting hidden patterns from data. - As more data are gathered, with the amount of data doubling every three years, data mining is becoming an increasingly important tool to transform this data into information. - It is commonly used in a wide range of profiling practices , such as marketing, fraud detection and scientific discovery. - Can be applied to data sets of any size. However, while it can be used to uncover hidden patterns in data that have been collected, obviously it can neither uncover patterns which are not already present in the data, nor can it uncover patterns in data that have not been collected.
Database A
database is a structured collection of records or data that is stored in a computer system. The structure is achieved by organizing the data according to a database model. The model in most common use today is the relational model. Other models such as the hierarchical model and the network model use a more explicit representation of relationships.
Data manipulation Manipulation
is to manage or influence
skillfully. To control the action of data, by management, as to manipulate a convention of delegates of data.
Islamic perspective In
Islam there is no “verse” or “surah” to explain about data mining, data base and data manipulation. Islamic view have several ways to determine whether a manipulation is allowed or prohibited.
Allowed data manipulation In
islam data manipulation still can use as long as: -the company must have right and authority from person or others company to collect data. -the data collected with authority can sell to another person or company. -data manipulation must use for goodness. -must follow the Islamic way.
Prohibited data manipulation Data
will prohibited if: -if the data collected doesn’t get permittion to collect or sell. It is “haram” according to islam. -data used for disadvantages. -do not follow the Islamic way.
