SUMMARY OF SKILLS & EXPERIENCE System Test Have performed extensive system testing on routers/bridges as well as SAN products. This included the SCSI and Fibre Channel interfaces to tape storage devices. This involved the interactions of all features of the software/hardware product. Unit Test Have performed unit testing on switching products, testing a particular feature of the total software package along with the integration with other features. Test Plans & Test Execution Have designed and written test plans for a high-speed switch product, routers, and SAN products. This involved designing the test plan and writing the test cases. I have also set up the test networks, written test automation scripts using Tcl/Tk and Expect, and executed the test cases. As part of the test process, I have held test plan review meetings with the developers to receive their input to the testing effort. Laboratory Maintained software development lab for router development group. In addition to the usual (installing and cabling equipment, keeping test equipment up-to-date, repairing failing units) began maintaining lab management shell scripts and setting up multiprotocol test beds. Assisted in product evaluation and performance testing for prospective OEM products. Engineering Technician Served as assistant to hardware design engineers. Responsible for building prototypes, testing designs, and writing ECN's for design corrections. Interfaced with manufacturing for testing of new projects. Maintained lab for engineering department with duties that included keeping test equipment up-to-date, repairing failing units, and assisting in design efforts.
