Corruption impedes the development Yes corruption impedes the development b/c of greediness. The men is greedy in nature so that’s why he desire more & more for achieving his desire or goal, sometimes he chooses the path which is against its moral standards. There are many types of corruption such as political, systemic, organizational, judiciary, & social corruption. Glamour of corruption have changed people with dead heart, a corrupt person is although alive but its heart is dead, he has no emotions for everyone, he just don’t care anyone, he completely dispels the fear of ALLAH & love of nation. Due to corruption common people are deprived of their basic rights, the funds & money that should be spend to provide basic facilities to the common masses, they are gone in corruption. Now the question arises why corruption takes place? Actually corruption is not a thing that has fallen from sky, nor it is a thing that has come from under the earth, corruption exists b/c we let is to be exist… there are many causes of corruption like class based society in which one is very rich & other is very poor, low salaries of government officials, instability of political system, unsuitable structure of income tax, incompetent judiciary, highly centralized economic system, absence of rule of law, there are also some socio-economic causes like high inflation & food prices, class conflict due to capitalism, evasion of ethical & religious values, & nepotism & favoritism. Corruption also arises in society due to unequal distributions of available resources, one segment of society enjoys all the benefits of the wealth & powers while other not. There are many impacts of corruption on our society, it has increased crime rates, it has tarnished image of society & state, due to corruption literacy rate has decreased b/c many children are unable to pay high fees can’t go continue their education, that’s why child labor is also increasing day by day, corruption has increased unemployment, due to this unemployment many people get themselves involve in terrorism. If we want our beloved country Pakistan free from corruption, then it is necessary to put sincere efforts for stopping corruption. We should eradicate the roots & causes of corruption; we can’t eradicate corruption unless there is not proper check & balance up to the gross root level. The long term solution of this problem lies in the building of sound national character, for this purpose we should have to make our education ethical, moral & patriotic. Besides this we shall have to make use of all means of propaganda like Print, Electronic & social media to achieve this goal. We shall have to create an atmosphere where honesty is appreciated & rewarded. We should have to make regulation of wealth according to rule of law in the motto of Islam. Moreover laws should must be followed strictly & their implementation should be ensured at every segment of society. And also another solution in my mind is to provide basic facilities to every citizen on equality basis without any discrimination like education, health & good security etc.
