I participated in the Citrus Fair Queen Pageant this year. One of our events we had to complete is writing a speech about something we are passionate about. My speech is about how fashion has changed my viewing on the world.

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts? I chose my speech as one of my artifacts because it expresses what I’m passionate about which is fashion. It also expresses my specific interest topics within the fashion industry.

How did your experience with this artifact change or impact you? By writing this speech I learned a lot more about the fashion industry and who I aspire to be and how I want to impact our world through fashion.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this artifact? Explain. I saw a lot of growth through my artifact. I engaged with my speech and the people that helped me edit my speech. I saw growth of self management because I wrote what I was passionate about without my peers telling me what I should write. I wrote from the heart and from perspective instead of someone else’s.

Provide an example of how the skills you practiced or the knowledge you gained via this artifact may also be used in a career in which you are interested. I very interested with all the loops inside fashion industry. I like modeling, fashion editors, fashion designers, ect. By writing this speech it created more research that I gathered. It extended my knowledge and showed me different views people have on fashion.
