Theme and Rationale Name (s/f/m): Nickname:

The emerging state of today’s Philippine Architecture has unconsciously embraced building landscapes and highprofile lifestyles defined mostly by foreign consultants while Filipino Architects abroad are virtually regarded as geniuses. The unabated waste of the Filipino designer’s creative resource not seen by his own countrymen will forever be imprinted as a travesty in a country seemingly dependent on foreign wisdom. This runs contrast to a wealth of institutional potentials ironically never been tapped to the fullest by those entrusted to govern.

The burden must now be taken by the professional Filipino Architect and his accredited professional organization. This is to generate a wellbeing among his people on the true value of his architecture and planning. Awareness on one hand creates understanding, and commitment to service excellence on the other develops lasting partnerships.
