On 5 th February, he was selling a ½ litre packet of Nandini Goodlife which has an stamped MRP of Rs.12 for Rs.14 and Nandini Set Curd which has an MRP of Rs. 13 for Rs.14. These are the products that I have inquired for and have first hand information about. He would have probably overcharged other products as well.

b. The cause of action for the complaint (i.e., what led you to file the complaint before the Forum /Commission): I brought to his notice that overcharging is illegal under the Packaged Commodities Rules (PCR), which states that any trader charging more than the MRP mentioned on the package can be prosecuted. I said I would complaint about him. Upon hea ring this he turned abusive, verbally assaulted me, insulted me, intimidated me and threatened me with physical and sexual harm. He confidently told me to go do whatever I wanted and that he knew politicians and the Police Commissioner of Bangalore. |||||| ||||||||||||||| ||| has not only engaged in illegal pricing, but also caused me deep hurt, mental agony and trauma. c.
