Nominations - Code Enforcement Board

The Code Enforcement Board is a quasi-judicial board established to provide a supplemental means of enforcing the provisions of the Code of the City of Pensacola. The Board has the authority to hold public hearings, to subpoena evidence and take testimony under oath; to issue orders having the force of law; to levy administrative fines; and to cause liens to be placed against a violator's property. The Board is composed of seven members and two alternates. All members are appointed by City Council for a term of three years. The Board is composed of, whenever possible, an architect, a businessman, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor and a realtor. MEMBERS OF THIS BOARD MUST BE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY. The term of Messers. Danny Grundhoefer, Architect and Daniel Keck, Engineer, will expire September 30, 2009. Both have indicated an interest in being considered for reappointment. This appointment/reappointment will be for a term of three years, expiring September 30, 2012. A list of the current members and attendance records for Messers. Grundhoefer and Keck are attached for Council's review. Nomination forms are also attached for Council's use. Nomination forms should be submitted to the City Clerk's office by 12:00 Noon, Friday, September 11, 2009 for consideration at the Committee of the Whole meeting on September 21, 2009.
