POLICIES CHILDREN & INFANTS We do not provide a special rate for children. Though there are many talented young musicians, we recommend that children 12 and under, as well as infants, not attend the conference. If you are a nursing mother and must bring your infant, please respect the other registrants by leaving a workshop, session or concert if your baby becomes disruptive. Children are welcome to attend the evening concerts. Again, please respect other attendees by taking your child out if they become distracting. RECORDING Audio or video recording the workshops, sessions and/or concerts is prohibited, due to licensing issues. BRINGING INSTRUMENTS There are a few workshops for guitar & bass where presenters encourage attendees to bring their instrument. Please do so. Please note, however, that neither the CMS, Spirit West Coast nor City of Grace Church are responsible for lost or stolen property. We do not have a ‘storage’ facility, so guitars will have to be held or stored at your own risk. CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS If you are unable to attend, you have a couple of options. You can either switch over your registration to another individual, or you can contact us for a partial refund. A certain percentage is retained to cover various service fees we incur for each transaction. Cancellations will not be refunded after 2 weeks prior to the start date of the event.

ARTISTS & PRESENTERS FEATURED ARTISTS Lincoln Brewster / www.lincolnbrewster.com A love and natural gift for the guitar landed Brewster a gig with mainstream rocker Steve Perry (Journey) and led to offers from mainstream rock labels all before he was 21. But Brewster had made a commitment to Christ in his late teens, and instead took a position at his local church as a sound technician. He remained faithful at that church, eventually taking on youth leadership and worship leadership responsibilities. Several years later, he crossed paths with Vertical music, part of Integrity Music Group in Mobile, AL, finding a label home that allowed him to record the modern, rock-tinged worship for which he has become known. In addition to his role as worship leader each Sunday in his home church at Bayside, Brewster is also serving as a worship music instructor at various worship conferences throughout the country.

Paul Baloche / www.leadworship.com Paul Baloche has written some of this generation’s most compelling worship songs. He states, “I’ve realized the value of creating personal worship times. Even though I teach worship, read about it, and sing about it,” says Baloche. “It’s like prayer. We can talk about prayer, go to prayer seminars, but there comes a time where we need to just “DO IT”. We were created for His pleasure. We were created for relationship with the living God. That’s the reality.” For Baloche, living in that reality has inspired him to write some of the most powerful worship songs of this generation. Brenton Brown / www.brentonbrown.com A gifted songwriter and musician, Brenton has written many worship songs, including “Everlasting God,” “Lord, Reign in Me,” “All Who Are Thirsty,” and “Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing).” Everlasting God was released with Survivor and with Sparrow in the States. In 2005 the Browns reluctantly left London and their home church of Holy Trinity Brompton for California. Since then they have been welcomed into the Horizon family of churches and have traveled across the States and beyond leading worship in churches as far afield as Sweden and Korea. 2008 saw the arrival of a baby daughter called Bella, and Brenton’s second solo project, ‘Because of Your Love.’ Brenton has been lucky enough to have his songs recorded by Chris Tomlin and Lincoln Brewster. He is also successful as a composer writing and scoring music for live theatre, dance, and film. David Ellefson / www.megalifeministries.org After formal training on keyboard instruments and saxophone as a kid David was drawn to the bass guitar because of it’s growling low end and undeniable presence in heavy rock music. At age 18 David moved to Los Angeles and has worked diligently during his career becoming a premier metal and hard rock bassist. Perhaps best known as one of the long time members of Megadeth, additionally, his vast experience and knowledge of the music industry have allowed him to author many literary works on the subject, venture into music production, songwriting collaborations, session work, clinics and teaching seminars. He is currently involved with MEGA Life worship in Scottsdale, AZ.

Corey Fournier / www.rolandus.com Corey Fournier is a musician and songwriter who’s performed with Darlene Zschech, Tommy Walker, Paul Baloche, and the Parachute Band. He is director of the WorshipConnection.org which provides ongoing training and resources for worship musicians. He also taught music technology courses at UCLA for seven years. Corey is a regular contributor to industry magazines and edited the book, All About Music Technology in Worship published by Hal Leonard. David Garza / www.rolandus.com David Garza is a multi-faceted musician with expertise ranging from electronic music and recording, to performance and education. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronic Composition from East Carolina University and plays several instruments, including drums and percussion, flute, electric bass, and sitar. In 1999 David joined Roland as a product and marketing specialist. David has also been involved in product development by contributing to both the design and musical content of Roland’s renowned line of electronic percussion and V-Drums. Doug Gould / Worship MD Doug Gould’s job and calling is to train up musicians, techs and pastors in the use of microphones, personal monitors and wireless sysytems in churches and worship conferences all over the United States and Canada. He has been employed in the Pro Audio and Music Industry for over 25 years and also serves as worship leader in is home church in New Jersey. Sheri Gould Sheri Gould is a graduate of the University of Illinois. She’s taught voice, been a worship leader and music director for over 25 years. For 13 years she directed Good News Productions, an evangelistic outreach involving singing, drama, dance and original musicals. She writes for Worship Musician! Magazine and tours the country with her husband teaching and equipping the Body of Christ at such conferences as, Karitos, Worship Institute Northeast, His Call Ministries and Christian Musician Summit in Seattle, Sacramento, Buffalo and now Mesa, AZ. Ben Gowell / www.bengowell.com Ben Gowell is a session guitarist and producer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has played on many studio recordings, including projects by Paul Baloche, Michael W. Smith, Sara Groves, and others. He has traveled the world teaching classes and seminars on electric guitar. Greg has spent much of his career working as either an operator or designer. Kent Margraves / www.sennheiser.com Kent Margraves spent many years as a professional megachurch audio director and free-lance mixer, which includes mixes for several thousand worship services and concerts including FOH, recording, and broadcast mixes in many worship venues. He currently works with Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, focusing on Installed Sound and Worship applications and training. Kent still mixes regularly at his church in Charlotte, free lances when time allows, and operates TCG Media Group as a side business which is dedicated to improving the audio experience in modern churches through customized training and contracting mixing. 9

John Mills / www.techtraining101.com John is our Production Manager & FOH engineer for the CMS@Overlake, CMS@theChapel and CMS Southwest. He has traveled around the country for the last 16 years touring with many amazing artists. Mills has worked in over 500 cities on his 4 year run with Chris Tomlin and the folks at Passion, over 200 cities with Shane and Shane, and close to 100 cities in his days with Lincoln Brewster. Chris Misterek / www.cityofgrace.com Chris Misterek grew up in a midsized town called Alvin, Texas. Longing to escape from the ranching lifestyle he was surrounded by, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2003 where, unbeknownst to him, there is also a very prevalent ranching community (who would have known). He resides there still to this day with his wife (LeeAnna) and daughter (Ashlynn) serving as the worship pastor for the City of Grace Mesa Campus where God is still perfecting the art of submission in his own heart ;)

Jeff Merry / www.worshipnet.org Jeff and his wife started WorshipNet to encourage, coach, and train worship leaders. Seminary trained and ministry tested Jeff understands the issues faced by worship leaders in the local church. His training materials (Focusing Worship) not only unpack the functional side of worship leading but also the character side of leading people personally in their relationship with God. Jeff has worked with worship leaders in Romania, Hungary, Bosnia, Canada, D.R. Congo, and the U.S. Jeff also directs a network of worship leaders in Phoenix called Worship! Arizona. He just celebrated 32 years of marriage and has 2 grown children, and rides an 81 Goldwing! Tim Moon / street musicianary For over 30 years, Tim Moon has been a full time ‘street musicianary.’ Sharing the gospel along with his music on the street corners all over the Bay area of California. He volunteers with both Spirit West Coast and the Christian Musician Summit as an assistant to the administrative team.

John O’Campo / www.marinerschurch.org John O’Campo studied choral conducting at Cal State University at Long Beach but ‘took a break’ his senior year to pursue music as a performer and session singer full-time, singing everywhere from the Hollywood Bowl to Carnegie Hall. In 2003 joined the staff at Mariner’s Church in Orange County as the church’s Vocal Director & Pastor to the Worship Choir and soloists. In 2006 John began his relationship with Consuming Worship. John is married to Michelle and they have a baby boy named Miles. Daniel Ornellas / www.brentonbrown.com For the last seven years, Daniel has been the bass player for worship rock trioTree 63, recording 5 out of the 6 international releases. He has co-written on songs on major releases and has played on other artists records including Brenton Brown, Barlow Girl and Out of Eden. He has toured extensively and played bass on tour for Paul Colman, Michael Gungor Band, Tim Hughes, Al Gordon, Kelly Mintor and Matt Maher. In South Africa he produced 5 nationally released records and was nominated for 2 South African Music awards. His previous band also won a C.B.S.A. Music award for best rock record. Mike Overlin / www.yamahaworship.com Mike Overlin is the Manager of Worship Resources for Yamaha Corporation of America, and a worship leader and consultant with the Free Methodist Church in Southern California. A professional musician all his life, he served two tours of duty with the United States Air Force Band, fronted a group at Disneyland for six years and earned two gold records for audio engineering. He is currently a worship leader with Living Spring Christian Fellowship in Southern California. Steve Padilla / www.lincolnbrewster.com Steve is the keyboardist for Lincoln Brewster. In addition, he has been a worship leader for over 12 years and is now Music Director at Bayside Church. Before becoming a worship leader, Steve was a successful recording engineer working at the legendary Bad Animals in Seattle where artists like Nirvana and R.E.M. recorded. 10

Peter Robinson – Speaker Product Manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. As Sales Manager and Senior Consultant, Peter was involved in projects from small to large including working with loudspeaker manufacturers on the design and testing of several loudspeakers. His notable, projects include The Folly Theatre, Johnson County’s Theatre in the Park, and the Reverend Emmanuel Cleaver’s St. James United Methodist Church. Peter joined Yamaha Commercial Audio in December of 2008. He currently serves as a Speaker Product Manager. His duties include demos, national tour support, speaker design software training and providing support to Yamaha’s network of Rep firms, dealers and consultants. Michael Rossback / www.michaelrossback.com Michael Rossback is a bass player out of New York City. His roots are in Colorado where he got his start playing music for The Desperation Band and The Michael Gungor Band. Shortly thereafter he began producing and became surrounded by the world of music. Currently, Michael is a songwriter/producer and bassist for Paul Baloche. Jon Robberson / www.celebrationconcerts.com Jon Robberson is the owner of Celebration Concerts and has been promoting Christian concerts in the Southwest and California for over 30 years. Jon is also the founder and director of the annual Spirit West Coast Christian music festivals in Del Mar and Monterey California. Jon has promoted hundreds of concerts at church venues. His seminar discussion will review the pros and cons and ins and outs of promoting concerts at churches.
