RECORDING Audio or video recording the workshops, sessions and/or concerts is prohibited, due to licensing issues. BRINGING INSTRUMENTS There are a few workshops for guitar & bass where presenters encourage attendees to bring their instrument. Please do so. Please note, however, that neither the CMS, Spirit West Coast nor City of Grace Church are responsible for lost or stolen property. We do not have a ‘storage’ facility, so guitars will have to be held or stored at your own risk.

CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS If you are unable to attend, you have a couple of options. You can either switch over your registration to another individual, or you can contact us for a partial refund. A certain percentage is retained to cover various service fees we incur for each transaction. Cancellations will not be refunded after 2 weeks prior to the start date of the event.

Matt Redman / www.mattredman.com Matt Redman is married to Beth and they have four children; Maisey, Noah, Rocco and Jackson. Based in Atlanta they are part of a team starting ‘Passion City Church’ with pastors Louie and Shelley Giglio. Matt has been leading worship full-time since the age of 20 and this journey has taken him to countries such as South Africa, Japan, India, Australia, Germany, Uganda, Croatia and the Czech Republic. His early compositions include ‘The Heart of Worship’, ‘Better is One Day’ and ‘Once Again’. More recent songs have included ‘Blessed Be Your Name’ and ‘You Never Let Go’ - both written with wife Beth and encouraging us to worship God through the storms of life. Brenton Brown / www.brentonbrown.com A gifted songwriter and musician, Brenton has written many worship songs, including “Everlasting God,” “Lord, Reign in Me,” “All Who Are Thirsty,” and “Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing).” Everlasting God was released with Survivor and with Sparrow in the States. In 2005 the Browns reluctantly left London and their home church of Holy Trinity Brompton for California. Since then they have been welcomed into the Horizon family of churches and have traveled across the States and beyond leading worship in churches as far aﬁeld as Sweden and Korea. 2008 saw the arrival of a baby daughter called Bella, and Brenton’s second solo project, ‘Because of Your Love.’ Brenton has been lucky enough to have his songs recorded by Chris Tomlin and Lincoln Brewster. He has 5 songs in CCLI’s top 100. Brenton’s current radio single, “Adoration” has been gaining momentum as another congregational favorite. Doyle Dykes / www.doyledykes.com Doyle’s early years as a guitarist took him around the world as he toured with The Stamps Quartet and later with Grand Ole Opry Star, Grandpa Jones. Doyle has since returned to the Grand Ole Opry for numerous performances, many appearing live on national television. As an endorser and clinician for Taylor Guitars, Doyle has designed a very successful signature guitar. The Doyle Dykes Signature Model Taylor guitar (“DDSM”) features an ampliﬁcation system by L.R. Baggs, deemed as the Doyle Dykes Hexaphonic Pickup System. Doyle also helped design his signature Rivera ampliﬁer, called the Sedona, designed to accommodate both electric and acoustic instruments. Doyle’s signature instruments and equipment have inﬂuenced the musical instrument industry on a global basis. Andy Leftwich / skaggsfamilyrecords.com

Andy started playing the ﬁddle at the age of six, learning ﬁrst from his father, and then from local musicians in the small rural town of White House, Tennessee. It was only a year later when he entered his ﬁrst ﬁddle contest – and by the age of nine, Andy had won the Tennessee State Championship for Beginners. By the time he was a teenager, Andy had also become proﬁcient on both the mandolin and the guitar in addition to the ﬁddle, and was entering competitions across the country on all three instruments. In February 2001, Ricky Skaggs made a surprise call to the Leftwich home and invited Andy to join him and the band for a show that weekend. Skaggs made a move that surprised not only the entire crowd, but his entire band as well. Onstage, in the middle of the show, Skaggs turned to Andy and offered him his hand, asking the shocked young ﬁddler, “What are you doin’ for the next couple of years?” In one magical moment, the future looked very different for the young musician who had just landed a dream gig, playing ﬁddle alongside the very best bluegrass pickers in the world. He married Jodie in the mid 1990’s. He loves Vegas, and Canada to co-write and/or produce wrestling on the ﬂoor with his two children (Alexandra and more nationally known secular and Christian Caleb), surﬁng, traveling and helping people discover their artists; such as Stacie Orrico, Amber Paciﬁc, freedom in Christ. He’s inspired by the thoughtful music Jamie Jamgochian, Kieth Cookson, and Lanae of U2, Matt Redman, and Jesse Butterworth, and he’s still Hale. He produced a Juno Award Nominee searching desperately for that elusive original thought. and an Island Award winner for Canadian artist Mike was educated at Pepperdine University and Fuller Matthew James! Paul Baloche / www.leadworship.com Paul Baloche has written some of this generation’s most compelling worship songs. He states, “I’ve realized the value of creating personal worship times. Even though I teach worship, read about it, and sing about it,” says Baloche. “It’s like prayer. We can talk about prayer, go to prayer seminars, but there comes a time where we need to just “DO IT”. We were created for His pleasure. We were created for relationship with the living God. That’s the reality.” For Baloche, living in that reality has inspired him to write some of the most powerful worship songs of this generation. As a bridge builder between traditional and contemporary worship, Baloche has literally put words in mouths of believers all over the world. The Dove award-winning artist has had his songs recorded by Michael W. Smith, Randy Travis, SonicFlood, John Tesh, and others. He currently has more than 10 songs on CCLI’s top 500 songs performed in churches. His “Open the Eyes of My Heart” is at No. 2 on the CCLI list. Lincoln Brewster / www.lincolnbrewster.com A love and natural gift for the guitar landed Brewster a gig with mainstream rocker Steve Perry (Journey) and led to offers from mainstream rock labels all before he was 21. But Brewster had made a commitment to Christ in his late teens, and instead took a position at his local church as a sound technician. He remained faithful at that church, eventually taking on youth leadership and worship leadership responsibilities. Several years later, he crossed paths with Vertical music, part of Integrity Music Group in Mobile, AL, ﬁnding a label home that allowed him to record the modern, rock-tinged worship for which he has become known. In addition to his role as worship leader each Sunday in his home church at Bayside, Brewster is also serving as a worship music instructor at various worship conferences throughout the country. Brian Doerksen / www.briandoerksen.com Brian Doerksen is a songwriter, recording artist, author, conference speaker and pastor. Brian was born and raised on the west coast of Canada in Abbotsford B.C. and now raises his family of 6 children in the home that he was raised in. His songs are known around the world in churches of all kinds and include Come, Now Is The Time To Worship, Hope Of The Nations, Faithful One, Reﬁner’s Fire, Hallelujah (Your Love Is Amazing), Holy God & The River. In April 2008, Brian received a JUNO award (Canadian equivalent of the Grammy awards) for Holy God (Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the year). His ﬁrst book, MAKE LOVE, MAKE WAR, is being publishing by David C Cook and was released in August 2009. He has also just completed co-writing a musical (a 7 year process!) with Christopher Greco (a playwright based in Boston) based on Luke 15 called Prodigal God ‘a tale of 2 sons and one wastefully extravagant father’. It’s the story of the prodigal son and his father seen through the eyes of the elder brother. Laura Story / www.laurastorymusic.com Like the twists and turns of a mountain road, Laura Story’s life has held its share of unexpected moments - some exhilarating, some terrifying, and some simply beautiful to behold. Leaning solely on her faith in the sovereignty of God, Story has learned that no matter what comes around the next bend, it’s going to be an incredible view. Once an aspiring symphony conductor, Story didn’t even know she could sing - much less write songs - until she was in her early twenties. Today, Story is not only a gifted vocalist and worship leader but also the composer of one of the most beloved worship songs of our generation - “Indescribable.” The song has helped people all over the world experience our magniﬁcent God. Don Poythress / www.donpoythress.com A profound moment in Don’s young musical education took place in his childhood piano class. It was here that Don’s instructor, a deeply spiritual woman, opened his eyes to more than music. “I remember once as I was practicing,” he recalls, “She told me, ‘Now one day the Lord is going to use you in country music, and you’re going to be on the Grand Ole Opry. He’s going to use you to draw people, and you’re going to tell them about Christ.’ It was heavy stuff for a four-year-old.” Those words of faith would prove prophetic. Today Don is one of Nashville’s premier songwriters. His songs have been recorded by both acclaimed country stars including Tim McGraw, Clint Black, and Travis Tritt, and Christian artists such as Jaci Velasquez, The Martins, and Brian Littrell. Accordingly, Don’s accolades also cross genre lines. In 2006 The Martins’ recording of Don’s song “The Promise” received a Dove Award for Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year. Two years later he received an ASCAP award for Kellie Pickler’s chart-topping hit, “Things That Never Cross A Man’s Mind.” But regardless of the artist, Don always stays true to his spiritual heritage. Norm Stockton / normstockton.com As bassist, artist and clinician (MTD Basses, Gallien-Krueger, CMS Conferences), Norm Stockton travels throughout North America, Europe and Japan. As of 2006, Norm can be found playing bass & singing backing vocals with Lincoln Brewster. Norm has been proﬁled in Bass Player magazine, as well as the featured artist on the Gallien Krueger website. As a bass educator, Norm has served as adjunct faculty at Concordia University, Hope International University, Biola University, The Los Angeles Music Academy, and MusicDojo.com. He also serves as the bass columnist for Christian Musician magazine. His new solo release, Tea in the Typhoon, featuring the artistic talents of John & Sachi Patitucci, Gregg Bissonette, Rob Mullins and Michael Manring, releases in the fall of 2009. Norm lives in Orange County, CA, with his wife and daughters. Norm is performing solo work at the LATE NIGHT GROOVE LOUNGE w/ Tony Guerrero on Trumpet, Rob Rinderer on keys & David Owens on drums.

Jeremy Riddle / jeremyriddle. net For Jeremy Riddle, a big part of his ministry is in creating fresh expressions of worship that both exalt the Creator and encourage and enlighten the people of God. The songs on The Now And Not Yet reﬂect this new inspiration in Jeremy’s ministry. The project opens with a bold new declaration about the pivotal event in human history - the resurrection of Christ. Christianity Today.com noted Jeremy’s “Imaginative, praise-focused lyrics and an equally compelling soundtrack” as just a few of the reasons to award his 2007 release, Full Attention, 4.5 out of 5 stars. That project featured AC Christian radio’s #6 mostplayed song of 2006, “Sweetly Broken”, with over 2.5 million impressions. The song was in such demand that it spent more than 40 weeks in heavy rotation on K-LOVE Radio Network’s play list.

Carl Cartee / www.carlcartee.com For Carl Cartee, the songs on his newest release, Here I Go, were drawn from his own wrestling with his faith amid difﬁcult circumstances. Produced by Nathan Nockels and Matt Stanﬁeld, the result is a deep and honest expression of worship that seeks to spur the listener to put feet to their own faith. As a staff writer for Brentwood –Benson Music Publishing and Artist In Residence at Fellowship Bible Church, and founder of Mighty Oak Records equipping other worship leaders has always been a component of Carl’s ministry, but in the past that has generally taken the form of one-on-one mentoring. Now he and his wife Heather feel called to create a new method of equipping and have created their ﬁrst worship conference, called Inspire. Part of his goal is to encourage worship leaders and songwriters to dig deep with their art.

He has mixed and managed hundreds of shows, from churches to stadiums, working with artists including David Foster, Ray Charles and Lou Rawls and clients like Microsoft and Nike. Marc leads a team of 30+ volunteers and his passion is to see technology used to its maximum potential to spread the Gospel. Marc and wife Shannon have been married 11 years and have two young children.
