The circulatory system is made up of heart and blood vessels. Blood passes through arteries from heart to the rest of the body. And that blood is full of oxygen. Veins carry the blood back to the heart. When blood passes through lungs the oxygen in the lungs diffuses into the blood, in this phase we say that the blood is oxygenated. When the blood passes through body tissues and loses most of the oxygen we say that the blood is deoxygenated.
