Heartwoods Manager £28-32,000 Four year contract The Small Woods Association (charity no 1081874) is seeking a senior project manager with drive and strategic experience to develop Heartwoods, the West Midlands regional woodland initiative, to deliver a £1.4m four year project to improve the woodfuel supply chain and to enhance the management condition of ancient woodland in the region. The post is based at the Green Wood Centre in the Ironbridge World Heritage Site, Shropshire, and has a four year contract. You must have excellent project management skills, with some experience of EU-funded project management, be able to lead a team successfully, and be able to demonstrate the delivery of projects on time and on budget. You must be able to develop and manage a broad partnership of diverse interests, and develop and fund new projects to help deliver the Forestry Commission’s and SWA’s objectives for the West Midlands. Heartwoods Woodfuel Project Officer £22-26,000 Four year contract The Small Woods Association (charity no 1081874) is seeking an experienced project officer with knowledge of the woodfuel and forest management industries to deliver a £1.4 m woodfuel programme across the West Midlands to improve the woodfuel supply chain within Heartwoods, the West Midlands woodland initiative. The post is based at the Green Wood Centre in the Ironbridge World Heritage Site, Shropshire, and has a four year contract. You must have successful project management experience, preferably with an EU-funded project, and be able to demonstrate the delivery of projects on time and on budget. You must have the knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to deliver a wide range of outputs including events, PR, training, woodland management.
