Church Talk
Faith Walk
“Isn’t it terrible how many people are losing their jobs?”
So I will write a note of encouragement, donate to the food pantry, or give a check to the Deacons Fund.
“We need to reach out to the neighborhood and community.”
So I will personally participate in neighborhood flyer distribution, prayer walks, and outreaches.
When I look at the younger generation, I’m concerned about the future of this country.”
So I will pray for and participate in youth ministries & support youth mission trips.
“The family that prays together, stays together.”
So I will pray daily with my family (not just at the dinner table).
“I’m looking for stirring, passionate worship.”
So I will worship God with my radical obedience to my parents and His Word.
“This country has turned its back on God and is going down the tubes.”
So I will run after God and live counter-culturally.
“I’m just a sinner saved by grace”. “Christians aren’t perfect–just forgiven”
So I will extend extraordinary grace to others and assume the best about them.
“God owns the cattle on a thousand hills.”
So I can trust Him to provide as I give Him the first fruits of my resources.
“God is faithful, and He will provide.”
So I will wait for Him to provide and won’t buy on credit.
“Too many churches are getting away from solid Bible teaching.”
So I will expose myself to God’s Word daily.
“Prayer changes things.”
So I will pray more.
“Mike is right, the purpose of the church is to make disciples.”
So while I pursue Christ, I will work at making disciples.
“Yes, I will go into the fields to work today.”
I will actually go into the field to work today.
