Chapter logs Chapter 18- The new book it is a different side of the story continuing from the other chapters it is about a man named Jarvis finding out that his son has been killed in a shooting much like of that from the other chapters and he is going to travel to a meeting about his son. Chapter 19- The chapter is mainly the grieving about the family. It is also about Jarvis finding out who his son really was. A good man who was elected to be president multiple times and an expert on native crimes. Chapter 20- Jarvis is reading a passage his son wrote and he is stunned by it. The passage was unfinished he desperately searched for more but was unsuccessful. Chapter 21- It was about them finding one person to the crime of killing James son. Jarvis also read the rest of his sons writing before he died and the last thing he wrote was allow me a minute. Jarvis and his wife read that together. Chapter 22- It was about Absalom and his Jury date to be accused. He explained what had happened with truth and honesty. Stephen Kumalo had seen the father of the white man who was murdered by his son. Chapter 23- I read about the findings of gold in remote part of South Africa, which was Odendaalsrust. People were throwing their hats in the air in happiness. The people were even thinking about creating a second Johannesburg. The chapter ended by saying that money isn’t a source of happiness. It is a source to buy necessities, and accomplish dreams not something to throw your hat in the air. Chapter 24- this chapter was about Jarvis heading back to the house of his murdered son. As he went upstairs he look around at the stain on the ground, and as he went into his study he looked at the pictures and millions of books. He picked up some writings of his son and read it. He was angered by it but did not know why. Jarvis then read it all and left saying he cannot face it anymore. Chapter 25- In this chapter Jarvis is at home when he suddenly receives a knock on his door. He goes to open it, and there standing is an old man who can barley walk, and the old man says I am looking for the daughter of Sibeko. Though she is not there the old man then reveals that it was his son, which mudded Jarvis’s son. James feels no anger in him at all and walks the old man back to the gate.

Chapter 26- Chapter 26 was about John Kumalo telling the people of Johannesburg that people who are working in the mines need to be paid more for what they do. John spoke in his strong bull voice. People say him as dangerous because of his voice. Chapter 27- Chapter 27 is about Getrude and Mrs Lithebe finding out in the local newspaper that there has been another European murdered by a native. Getrude wants to keep this secret from Kumalo till the Jury has ended. Chapter 28- In this chapter Absalom will be sentenced to death by being hang. Chapter 29-This chapter is about the ending of the book 2. This shows that Absalom has fear to die by being hanged, and Getrude was no where to be found.
