CDEC 1 held our annual meeting on July 1, 2009 at 9:00am and after holding elections the CDEC passed the following resolution: WHEREAS mayoral control has expired WHEREAS the members of CEC District 1 are ready, willing, and able to act in the capacity of a Community School Board for District 1 WHEREAS our children, schools and members of our school community need continuity and stability in education policy Resolved, That we respectfully request that the Board of Education appoint our members Wally Acevedo, Lisa Donlan, David Gerstl, Sally Lee, Corinna Lindenberg, Edward Primus, Andrew Reicher, Anilsa Sanchez, and Monse Santana as the Community School Board for District 1 until elections can be held or the laws change to replace the Community School Board with another body. Resolution passed unanimously.
