Psalm 98 1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. 2 The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.

Psalm 98 (cont.) 3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.

Seven Reasons To Sing His Praises

Reason #1 His Actions Vs. 1: He has done marvelous things. His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.

The Works of God

Reason #2 His Power Vs. 1: He has done marvelous things. His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.

The Greatness of God

Reason #3 His Holiness Vs. 1: He has done marvelous things. His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.

The Goodness of God

Reason #4 His Salvation Vs. 2: The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations. Vs. 3: … All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

The Redemption of God

Reason #5 His Mercy Vs. 3: He has remembered His mercy.

We don’t get what we deserve.

Reason #6 His Faithfulness Vs. 3: He has remembered His faithfulness to the house of Israel.

He is constant, reliable, and true to His promise.

Reason #7 His Justice Vs. 9: With righteousness He shall judge the world.

Understanding His holiness and righteousness is essential to understanding His justice.
