The Concept Business partnership models offered by a medical organisation which can help manage and increase the overall business of the clinic. The expertise brought into the partnership is unparallel and absolutely unique in today’s day and time. Backdrop: The Need of the Young Parent. Today’s Modern day parents are highly inspirational. They have a clear need for a better lifestyle and convenience. They are willing to travel across different cities, live in a nuclear families, look for information over the net to take decisions on home, education and health. Marketers also from different industries are doing their relentless bit to fit into their wants and get a edge over competition. So be it the new car launches every month , to great marketing deals on rentals to house purchase , to even look at accessories which bring in a touch of glamour and convenience in decision making , all is being worked upon continuously . The smallest yet a big example is how even an suitcase brand like VIP is designing it suitcases to fit the aspirations of the new age customers.

In healthcare: Hospitals are getting more glamorised, so is the technology getting better in the medical equipments. In retails there is an attempt made by companies such as Health spring, My Dentist to create a better offering in the health space. Technology platforms such as Practo and Lybrate are making a huge impact in the entire health eco system, validating the most important factor that customers are now wishing to choose a health partner , based on convenience , pricing , ambience , service and engagement. The days of pure referral based business is going our primarily of constantly moving families and aspirations for the better.

On the retail clinic side, things are only getting more challenging for the doctors. Managing the above mentioned wants of the young parent is only getting more difficult. Bettered ambience, Managing footfalls through staff ((which is a constant challenge on retention), using marketing tools to retain and get more customers and allowing a customer to be engaged through data management and technology is a must now. All this are separate and very important functions and play a 36ˆ0 degree role in enhancing ones business. However it becomes practically impossible for the doctor himself to all these tasks all the same time and consistently without compromising on quality. After all the doctors only and the core function is to attend to the patients and the parents.

10

Therefore the medical organisation is seeking to bridge this gap of demand and need by offering its services through its expertise and experience thereby making a very strong preposition for the customers and the retail clinic owners, the doctors.

To summarise Young parents look for 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Doctors through online platforms more than referrals. Nuclear families and hence seek quality time with the doctors Value online engagement through various platforms Expect bettered service and ambience. They don’t mind paying extra if the quality of services is up to the desired level.

Doctors 6. Need a constant effort in recruiting staff. 7. Understand the value of a bettered ambience 8. Understand the value of marketing in driving footfalls. 9. Aware of the competition 10. Aware of the constant increase in real estate 11. Need to understand the values which technology platforms bring to the table. One of the most important offering which can look exciting for any doctor to partner is the emotional and the financial continuity of business. Our offerings. 1. Emotional and Financial continuity of business: (This might not be acknowledged upfront and clearly) but needs to be derived through the research. 2. Business management solutions: Staffing solutions: Nurses, office staff and Locum doctors. 3. Online management: Electronic medical records help assess the customer behaviour, capture customer data, vaccination and other health reminders. 4. Marketing management: Micro level marketing to get new customers via vie competition. 5. Additional business and revenue opportunity. 6. Vaccination and Health care packages at 0% emi facility. 7. Better ambiance: Colourful , vibrant and with a play area.

Complete Hospital management solutions at the retail clinic level. The questionnaire should have the following. 11

(A) To make sure that the doctor has understood our offerings clearly.

1. Residual income and continuity of business: Once a doctor running a clinic decides to take a part time or a full time retirement, irrespective of the monthly footfalls and income he generated till now, becomes zero. AS this is a purely a skilled based job and depends a lot on the trust /goodwill created and cannot as of now cannot be transferred in most of the cases

What we do : We offer doctors under the said doctor for him to select and mentor , so that once he decides to quit , the business continues to grow under his leadership but not necessarily physical involvement. We also offer a fixed /variable remuneration to the said doctor so that the income does not become zero but keeps giving him income for years to come. 2. Staffing solutions: Every clinic requires a staff to manage operations , apart from maintain the inventory and collecting data from customers. Seldom does a staff remains constant and neither does the quality of engagement which he or she is supposed to deliver is maintained consistently. Most of the doctors don’t even maintain the data of their present customers and hence loose a chance to engage with them, retain them .

What we do : We will take care of the recruitment , training and the operations management bringing in our expertise and removing this as a challenge which occupies their mind space completely. Scope of work includes Doctors, (permanent and locum) , Receptionist , nurse. 3. Technology and data management: A modern day parent values online engagement. They are always on the phone or on the internet. They look for reminders and important updates which can prevent diseases. Recent example being swine flu.

What we do: We have created a easy to use, customised online medical platform for paediatricians. It allows them to capture all the important and relevant data of the customers, takes feedback on the services, gives them important updates such as vaccinations, or health [prevention tips, even wishes kids birthday. It creates an online virtual file including the prescriptions for them to access and get referred by in case they are travelling. This platform becomes one of the USPs compared to a neighbourhood 12

doctor. 4. Competition and Marketing : In today’s day and age , there is a stiff competition in every field including healthcare. This requires a doctor partner to be attentive and alert on where the customers are being lured to.

What we do : We with our marketing team not only work closely with the doctors to increase the footfalls through pricing ,but also ensure that we reach out to the various institutions which can enable increase in footfalls. For eg we tieup with preschools, schools and pathology laboratories. We also do marketing activities such as mailers, adverts which creates eyeballs. An individual doctor cannot legally do such activities; neither can he himself reach out to schools. We as an institution can and we do it with tools through which we measure our performance. 5. Bettered ambience: Most of the clinics have a dull look. This is the place where the kids are not wanting to go and start crying moment they realise they are there to meet the doctor.

What we do: We have a proven design, state art of the art ambience in the offering. Colourful and with a play area, which engages the child happily. This in turn allows the parent to feel comfortable and spend quality time with the doctors on the consultation. B) TKC requirements.   

PURPOSE OF STUDY Being the unorganized child health care sector, how to role of innovation and modernization helps it to make an organized sector. The provision of high-quality, affordable, health care services is an increasingly difficult challenge. Due to the complexities of health care services and systems, investigating and interpreting the use, costs, quality, accessibility, delivery, organization, financing, and outcomes of health care services is key to informing government officials, insurers, providers, consumers, and others making decisions about health-related issues. Health services researchers examine the access to care, health care costs and processes, and the outcomes of health services for individuals and populations. The Purpose of the study of paediatrics is to reduce infant and child rate of deaths, control the spread of infectious disease, promote healthy lifestyles for a long diseasefree life and help ease the problems of children and adolescents with chronic conditions. Paediatricians diagnose and treat several conditions among children including:injuries, infections, genetic and congenital conditions, cancers organ diseases and dysfunctions Paediatrics is concerned not only about immediate management of the ill child but also long term effects on quality of life, disability and survival. Paediatricians are involved with the prevention, early detection, and management of problems including:developmental delays and disorders behavioral problems functional disabilities social stresses mental disorders including depression and anxiety disorders

17

GOALS OF THE HEALTH CARE SERVICE The goal of health services is to protect and improve the health of individuals and populations. In a landmark 2001 report, Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academy of Sciences proposed that the goals for health services should include six critical elements: 1. Patient Safety: Patients should not be harmed by health care services that are intended to help them. The IOM report, To Err Is Human found that between 46,000 and 98,000 Americans were dying in hospitals each year due to medical errors. Subsequent research has found medical errors common across all health care settings. The problem is not due to the lack of dedication to quality care by health professionals, but due to the lack of systems that prevent errors from occurring and/or prevent medical errors from reaching the patient. 2. Effectiveness: Effective care is based on scientific evidence that treatment will increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes. Evidence comes from laboratory experiments, clinical research (usually randomized controlled trials), epidemiological studies, and outcomes research. The availability and strength of evidence varies by disorder and treatment. 3. Timeliness: Seeking and receiving health care is frequently associated with delays in obtaining an appointment and waiting in emergency rooms and doctors’ offices. Failure to provide timely care can deny people critically needed services or allow health conditions to progress and outcomes to worsen. Health care needs to be organized to meet the needs of patients in a timely manner. 4. Patient Centred: Patient-centred care recognizes that listening to the patient’s needs, values, and preferences is essential to providing high-quality care. Health care services should be personalized for each patient, care should be coordinated, family and friends on whom the patient relies should be involved, and care should provide physical comfort and emotional support. 5. Efficiency: The U.S. health care system is the most expensive in the world, yet there is consistent evidence that the United States does not produce the best health outcomes or the highest levels of satisfaction. The goal is to continually identify waste and inefficiency in the provision of health care services and eliminate them. 6. Equity: The health care system should benefit all people. The evidence is strong and convincing that the current system fails to accomplish this goal. The IOM report, Unequal Treatment documented pervasive differences in the care received by racial and ethnic minorities.

19

Literature Review I have chosen the market research because market research is the very first step of the data collection and presentation of base for developing the event. Marketing research is the process or set of processes links the producers, customer And end users to the marketer opportunities and problems generate, refine, and Evaluate marketing actions monitor marketing performance and improve understanding of marketing as a process. It is a careful and objectives study of various areas of marketing activities. What, when, where, and how to sell the end product and the services are four questions to which the marketing research wing provides an answer. Thus Market research and Marketing research are different from each other. Market Research is a Narrow concept whereas marketing research is a Broad one and its scope is much wider.

20

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY What is research Methodology  There are specific methods that are being used in conducting research they need to be followed in sequence so that the work leads to a commendable achievement .  Research as an activity is conducted in all the domains of knowledge. 

However in this course the subject is mainly focused on branding and strategically promotions of upcoming events.

What is Research  Research is a careful and detailed study into a specific problem concern or issue using the scientific method. This is best accomplished by turning the issue into a Question with the intent of research to answer the question.  Research is called for when there is a question in one’s mind and to which there is no readily available answer information is then sought and made sense of to be used ultimately to answer the original question.  People use the word research in everyday conversation loosely to indicate collection of facts or some efforts made for exploration.  Research is defined as something that people undertake in order to find out things in a systematic way thereby increasing their knowledge.

SAMPLING METHOD While studying and analysing the secondary data, various useful insight were obtained from thane region but for the ease of primary data collection a small population of East and west region of thane was selected. The sampling method chosen for collection of primary data was non probabilistic convenience Sampling Method, wherein the entire population was divided among various segments according to following sectors Clinics, Medicals, Hospitals and Healthcare services The organisations were selected and a surveyed by me, based upon a questionnaire. The questions were kept open ended. The responses were gathered and data was tabulated. Sample size : The sample size for the survey was of Thane Region and various clusters were formed. 10 Clinics from each sector was selected across all zones. A total of 60 clinics were surveyed to know about their willingness to have that plan. The sampling method used for the study is non probabilistic convenience sampling method. The target audience for the survey were largely the Doctors

MODE OF ENQUIRY PRESPECTIVE  The Quantitative Or Structured Approach.  The Qualitative Or Unstructured Approach.  The Mixed Method Approach. The Core difference between the three is the extent if flexibility permitted to you as a researcher in the research process . In the quantitative or structured approachof enquiry everything that forms the research process Objectives , design, Sample, the questionsthat you plan to ask of your respondent is predetermind. The quantitative approach is rooted in the philosophy of rationalism; follows a rigid, structured and predetermined set of procedures to explore; aims to quantify the extent of variation in a phenomenon; emphasizes the measurement of variables and the objectivity of the process; believes in substantiation on the basis of a large sample; give importance to the validity and reliability of findings; and communicates findings in an analytical and aggregate manner, drawing conclusions and inferences that can be generalized. The qualitative approach on the other hand, is embedded in the philosophy of empiricism; follows an open, flexible and unstructured approach to enquiry; aims to explore diversity rather than to quantify; emphasizes the description and narration of feelings, perceptions and experiences rather than their measurement; and communicates findings in a descriptive and narrative rather than analytical manner, placing no or less emphasis on generalizations. The mixed method approach uses the strengths of both quantitative and qualitative research. It aims to select the best methods, regardless of the qualitative – quantitative divide, to find answers to the research questions. In extremely simple terms, the mixed methods approach to social research combines two or more methods to collect and analyse data pertaining to the research problem. 23
