Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 23 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 3, section 429 is amended by designating the existing language as subsections (a) and adding subsection (b) to read: “(b)
All operators of public transportation buses and all other vehicles transporting

passengers on a public highway or major thoroughfare shall pickup or discharge passengers

only at designated bus stops or pull-offs that are completely off the main highway or
7
thoroughfare. Any operator who violates this subsection is subjected to a fine of $500 for
8
each offense.”

This bill amends title 23 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 3, section 429 to prohibit the

pick-up and discharging of passengers other than at designated bus stops or pull-offs which

are completely off the highway or thoroughfare.
