Spring 2019: April – June April 9th 10:00 AM Ride Leader: Mary Gamerman Travel to Nauset Light & Coast Guard Beaches. #1 Start: Meet at Depot Square, Orleans with interim pickup points Pick up #1: Meet at Orleans Courthouse @ +5 Minutes after the starting time Pick up #2: Meet at Arnolds, Eastham @ + 20 Minutes after the starting time Terrain: Flat, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance 8 - 16 Miles NO ALTERNATE RIDE April 16th 10:00 AM Ride Leaders: Bill Weil & Judi Weil Orleans to Marconi Beach Start: Meet at Depot Square, Orleans with interim pickup points Pick up #1: Meet at Orleans Courthouse @ +5 Minutes after the starting time Pick up #2: Meet at Arnolds, Eastham @ + 20 Minutes after the starting time Ride the Cape Cod Rail Trail to Marconi Beach.

Terrain: Flat, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance 9 - 18 Miles NO ALTERNATE RIDE April 23 rd 10:00 AM Ride Leader: Bruce LeBlanc Start: Meet at Orleans Court House parking lot This ride starts at the road to Eastham’s Rock Harbor to the various beaches on the bay ending on South Sunken Meadow Rd. We then cross Rt 6 to the bike path back to the court house. Terrain: Flat, Average speed 12 MPH, Distance 18 miles NO ALTERNATE RIDE April 30th 11:00AM Ride Leader: John Meyer Note later start time Cape Cod Canal – North side (mainland) #3 Take the exit immediately after crossing the Sagamore Bridge (Exit 1A). At the light, Canal Road, turn right, pass Friendly’s and drive to parking lot north of Sagamore Bridge. We will ride the full trail to Cape Cod Bay and Buzzard’s Bay. Lunch option: Maritime Academy, cost about $8. Terrain: flat, slight incline, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance 14 miles. NO ALTERNATE RIDE.

May 7th 10:00 AM Ride Leaders: Dick Bernstein & Ellen Bernstein Orleans to the Old Colony Rail Trail & Red River Beach #19 Start: Meet at Depot Square, Orleans with interim pickup points Pick up #1: Meet at Underpass Rd. & Rt. 137 parking lot at 10.15am Pick up #2 Meet at Harwich Town Hall Parking Lot at 10.30am We will all ride down the Rail Trail to the Old Colony Rail Trail and on to Red River beach in Harwich. Terrain: Flat, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance 7-29 Miles NO ALTERNATE RIDE May 14th 10:00AM Ride Leader: Joanne Patterson East Bay Bike Trail – Bristol to East Providence Ride is approximately 12 miles each way. Drive time approximately one hour forty-five minutes. Directions will be emailed before ride. After lunch you can either walk Bristol or head home. Plan on a full day. Bad weather date is Thursday May 16th. NO ALTERNATE RIDE May 21 st 10:00AM Ride Leaders: John Fallender & Julie Mackie Le Tour de East Orleans #29a Start: Meet at Historical Society, also sign for American Legion Hall at same parking lot (Main Street Orleans, Park in far end of lot.) We will ride around East Orleans with stops at some water vistas. Terrain: Some hills, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance approx. 11 Miles NO ALTERNATE RIDE. May 28th 10:00 AM Ride Leaders: Irwin Schorr & Sandy Schorr Start: at Nickerson State Park main parking lot on 6A Brewster Ride “Hills, Harbors & History” Ride through Brewster with water and cemetery stops. Terrain: Some hills, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance 15 miles NO ALTERNATE RIDE June 4th 10:00AM Ride Leaders: Tom Buono & Carol Buono Shining Sea Trail – Falmouth, Full Trail. #15A Start: Meet in the Parking lot at northern end of trail, on County Rd, North Falmouth. Directions: Take Route 6 to Exit 5, South on Route 149 to Route 28 North (towards Falmouth) to the Mashpee Rotary. Exit the rotary on Route 151 West. Continue on Route 151 past Route 28 which then becomes County Road. Continue on County Road toward North Falmouth until you see the Trail Parking Lot on right. We will ride the complete Shining Sea Trail from the County Road end to Woods Hole, and back. Terrain: flat. Average speed 12 MPH, Distance 22 miles.

NO ALTERNATE RIDE. Optional coffee break at Pie In The Sky near ferries parking.

June 11th 10:00AM Ride Leader:. Bruce Hurter Truro Bayside and Beaches. #25 Start: Meet in CCRT parking lot Le Count Hollow. Ride bayside Bound Brook to Old County and all the way to Corn Hill Beach. Stops at Ryder Beach, Pamet Harbor and Corn Hill Beach. Terrain: Moderately hilly, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance 18-21 miles Optional lunch at the Beachcomber ALTERNATE RIDE: 10:00 AM Ride Leader: Maddy Entel Start: Meet in CCRT parking lot Le Count Hollow. Wellfleet trail terminus at LeCount Hollow Rd to Orleans Depot Square and return to Wellfleet trail terminus at LeCount Hollow Rd Terrain: Flat, Average Speed 10 MPH, Distance 18 miles Optional lunch at the Beachcomber June 18 th 10:00 AM Ride Leaders: Mike Hays & Pat Hays Harwich Port Roads #38 Start: Meet at Harwich Town Hall – Main St in Harwich Center This ride covers much of the town of Harwich without using the bike trail. In general, Oak St to Queen Anne to Depot Rd to Morton Road and Forest Beach in Chatham. Then continue on back streets to Red River Beach, Hoyt Rd. to Forest then Lothrop. At that point, those desiring shorter ride go north to bike trail, others go south and west to Depot Rd and bike trail back. Terrain: flat, Distance 17 miles, average speed 12 MPH NO ALTERNATE RIDE

June 25th 10:00 AM Ride Leaders: Tony Ortiz cell & Nancy Ortiz Harwich Town Hall to bridge on Willow Rd (Exit 7 Rte 6) Start: Meet in the Harwich Town Hall parking lot with interim pickup points. Pick up #1: Parking lot on route 134 @ + 20 Minutes after the starting time We will ride from town Hall to the Brewster/Harwich rotary then continue to parking lot on route 134, then we will continue on the trail passing the new Bass River bridge and then to the next bridge passing over Station Ave and finally pushing to the last bridge on Willow Rd. Then back to Town Hall the same way. Terrain: flat, Average Speed 12 MPH, Distance 15 - 25 miles. NO ALTERNATE RIDE.
