ACCESS: Travel US Highway 101 to Hoodsport and turn west onto State Route 119. Drive 9 miles to the junction with FS Road #24. Turn left and travel 100 yards. The entrance to Big Creek Campground is on the right side of the road. North No Scale Mt. Rose Trail #814

FACILITIES: There are 23 campsites, which will accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 30 feet in length. Well water, tables, a covered picnic shelter, two loop nature trails, fire rings, and vault toilets are available within the campground. Please pack out your garbage and leave a clean campsite.

Lake Cushman and the Staircase entrance to Olympic National Park are nearby with a public boat ramp available at Lake Cushman State Park. Mt. Ellinor, Jefferson Pass, Mt. Rose, and Dry Creek trails are located within 8 miles of the campground. FEE: Regular $14.00 camping fee covers two licensed passenger vehicles and a maximum of eight people. (50% reduced fee with Golden Age/Access & Interagency Senior/Access passes.) The two vehicle rule includes any combination of the following: passenger cars, trucks, and/or recreation vehicles (NOTE: boat and recreation trailers are not considered passenger vehicles). An additional $5.00 fee is charged for each passenger vehicle over the limit. No more than 8 people per campsite. Maximum stay is 14 days. Pets must be leashed. Season lasts from May 15-September 30.

SETTING: Camp units are spaced for privacy in a second-growth forested area. Big Creek—a small stream—is adjacent to the campground. OPPORTUNITIES: Hiking, mountain climbing, fishing, swimming, and exceptional scenery can be enjoyed in the area. Two loop nature trails start in the campground, lower loop 1.1 mile, upper loop 4.3 miles. A covered picnic shelter is available for group–day use only. Fires in developed campsites only. 7/2009

Big Creek Campground provides secluded camp units in a second-growth conifer stand near Lake Cushman.
