GOD'S WORD

God is perfect. The Bible says so. Nothing sinful, dark or imperfect can be attributed to the purity of God. How can a dirty stream and clean stream run down the same course? It can't. If we're calling something "God's Word", which is what the Bible is, it better be perfect and without error - this pure word of God cannot run down a dirty stream of imperfection and confusion. The Bible is the inspired word of God through his mouthpieces (prophets, judges, Christian leaders and disciples), every Christian can attest to that. However, are all Bible translations correct? If not, why not and which translation is deemed correct? TRANSLATION CONFUSION

From words chiseled into stone to scrolls and manuscripts, the Bible has an interesting history of its preservation being passed down throughout the years. For the past hundreds of years, the Bible was finally translated into an English version that we could read called the King James Version (KJV). Then in the 1900s, new Bible versions started arriving on the scene contradicting the KJV with missing verses and incorrect translations, and so corruption and confusion runs rampant from the original English translation. BIBLE COMPARISONS

There are many Bible versions out there, but for the sake of a small study, I will be referring to 3 different Bible versions: the King James Version (KJV), the New King James Version (NKJV) and the New International Version (NIV) commonly used in churches today.

King James Version (KJV)  THE ORIGIN There is no such thing as the "original" if we're referring to the original documents physically penned by Moses, Paul, King David, and the rest of the authors of the Bible. The KJV was translated from the traditional text, the Masoretic Hebrew text. The Textus Receptus Greek text where the other (perverted) versions were from, came from a corrupt Westcott and Hort text of Alexandria, Egypt. Westcott and Hort were occultists! Please read: www.jesus-is-savior.com/Bible/wh-heretics.htm

 ITALICIZED WORDS Every wonder why there are italicized words in the KJV? It's not to make an emphatic point, it's actually there because the translator was being honest with you. The most recent translator italicized the print because it was not in the Hebrew document that was handed to him. The documents that were handed to him were aged and had many notes in the margins, that he had to faithfully choose the word that best fit the sentence.

WHO WAS KING JAMES? King James authorized the translation of the Bible. He was a great monarch that unified Scotland, then formed a foundation of England and Scotland into what is known today as the British Empire. At that time, only the churches of England possessed a Bible, but the King wanted the Bible to be in English and accessible to the common people. So in 1603, he collected 54 of history's most learned men to accomplish this task.

WASN'T KING JAMES A HOMOSEXUAL? Unfortunately this was a rumor that began from a man called Anthony Weldon. He was an enemy of the King and didn't believe in a lot of what he was doing. Weldon swore vengeance to the King after he was excluded from court and got his chance 25 years after the death of the King. He wrote a paper calling King James a homosexual, which was ignored, as the people living at that time knew it not to be true. In fact, it lay dormant for years until it was picked up by people who used that same paper to tarnish the King James version of the Bible . . . and so the rumor mill began. Have more questions about the KJV? This website is jam-packed with information and will answer all your questions and then some: www.jesus-is-savior.com/Bible/1611_authorized_king_james.htm

New King James Version (NKJV) SATANIC SYMBOL ON THE NKJV COVERS An occult symbol, which represents interwoven 6s (666), also connected with the "trinity" symbol in Catholic churches, is used on the front cover of some NKJV books. This symbol has historic connections to New Age, Witchcraft and Satanism.

THEE, THOU AND YE

The preface to the NKJV states that "thee, thou and ye" is replaced with "you" to make for easier reading because it is no longer a part of our language. However, the "thee, thou and ye" was not a part of the language during that time either. It was used in the earliest part of the 13th century and the KJV came out in the 17th century. So why is it there? The Greek and Hebrew language contains a different word for the second person singular vs plural pronouns. Today we use the one word "you" for both singular and plural, but because the translators of the 1611 King James Bible desired an accurate, word-for-word translation of the Hebrew and Greek text, they could not use the one word "you" throughout. If it begins with "t" (thou, thy, thine) it's singular, but if it begins with "y" (ye) it's plural.

THE KJV WAS NOT USED FOR TRANSLATING In the Preface and Forward to the NKJV, they state that they also used and consulted other texts, along with the KJV, for translation. So it's not just an "update" or revision of the KJV as many believe.

TRANSLATORS ATTACK THE KJV According to the footnotes, the translators didn't even like the text behind the King James Version and felt that they needed to justify their new translation. Since the NKJV was published, James Price, Old Testament editor and translator, had authored a huge volume attacking the King James Version.

NKJV DOESN'T LIKE HELL The NKJV removed the word hell and replaced it with "hades". The difference between hell and hades is quite different. A modern dictionary defines it as such: Hell = The realm of the devil in which the damned suffer everlasting punishment Hades = The underworld; the abode of the dead (very often used in Greek mythology) BIBLE VERSE Matthew 16:18

Luke 16:23

KJV And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

NKJV And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Hell is also removed in the following verses: 2 Samuel 22:6, Job 11:8, 26:6, Psalm 16:10, 18:5, 86:13, 116:3, Isaiah 5:14, 14:15, 28:15, 18, 57:9, Jonah 2:2, Matthew 11:23, 16:18, Luke 10:15, 16:23, Acts 2:27, 31, Revelations, 1:18, 6:8, 20:13, 14.

REPENTANCE OR RELUCTANCE? Another one of the obsolete words is repent. They take it out 44 times! How does the NKJV make their translation clearer when they change repent to: relent (Matthew 21:32), remorseful (Matthew 27:3) and irrevocable (Romans 11:29).

New International Version (NIV) THE PUBLISHER OF THE NIV Zondervan (owned by HarperCollins) first published the NIV New Testament in partnership with the International Bible Society in 1973 and the complete NIV Bible in 1978. In 1988, Zondervan was bought by and became a division of HarperCollins - publisher of the Satanic Bible! Let's compare this particular case to a man donating money to an organization that is anti-abortion and at the same time, donating his man to a clinic that oversees abortions. That's a conflict of interest!

HarperCollins publishes pro-homosexuality books that are taught in the public schools today. They are also a subsidiary of the global media empire, The News Corporation, owned by Rupert Murdock. The News Corporation empire includes Fox Broadcasting, Twentieth Century Fox and more than 128 newspapers, some notorious for their nude pinups.

NIV CALLS LUCIFER "JESUS" I remember asking my aunt, an NIV reader, who the "Morning Star" was and she replied, "Satan." This is a common mistake with people that do read the NIV. The KJV says that the Morning Star is Jesus and although the NIV has verses that proclaim this as well, they also have the contrary, proclaiming to Lucifer to be Jesus as well. Um, confusing? BIBLE VERSE Isaiah 14:12

KJV How are thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

NIV How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

Now, right after the NIV proclaims that Lucifer was the "Morning Star" in Isaiah, they now refer to Jesus as the Morning Star in later passages: "And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart." 2 Peter 1:19 (NIV) "I will also give him the morning star." Revelation 2:28 (NIV) "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star." Revelation 22:16 (NIV)

PROFESSED SODOMITES ON NIV TRANSLATION COMMITTEE Again, this is another conflict of interest. There were homosexuals on the NIV translation committee. How can someone translate a book that they're living in open rebellion against? Dr. Virginia Mollenkott, one of the fourteen literary critics on the NIV translation committee, is a professed lesbian. She is the author of such books as: Omnigender: A Trans-Religious Approach and The Divine Femine: Biblical Imagery of God as Female. She also facilitates and speaks at such events as "Sisterly Conversations: Current Concerns Among Lesbians of Faith" and "Christian People of the Rainbow." She is a proud active member of CLOUT (Christian Lesbians OUT). Dr. Martin Woudstra, Chairman of the NIV Old Testament Committee, was a homosexual. Dr. Woudstra quoted, "There is nothing in the Old Testament that corresponds to homosexuality as we understand it today." He was once an OT Professor at Calvin Seminary, the college of the Christian Reformed Church (Dutch Calvinistic) and assisted in writing a report regarding a study into homosexuality for the

Christian Reformed Church, which concludes with a compromised "middle line". A couple of quotes from the report are as follows: "Responsibility and possibility of personal guilt for the homosexual arises at the point where he must decide what to do with his sexuality. It is here that the Christian homosexual must ask what God's will is for him in the same way as the Christian heterosexual must ask what he must do in obedience to God with his sex drive." (Report 42, Article 53, Page 616). And also, "From this story (Genesis 19, Sodom and Gomorrah) read as an isolated incident we cannot conclude however that homosexualism is here condemned." (Report 42, Article 53, Page 617). Dr. Woudstra was incorrect in all accounts. You don't ask God's will to decide on what to do with your sexuality. He's already laid it out for you in His word! God is unchanging and whether we like it or not, we need to conform our way to God's word - He doesn't conform to our way of living and thinking.

THE WORD "SODOMITE" IS REMOVED FROM THE NIV BIBLE With the two Sodomites on the committee, it's not a surprise that this "offensive" word was removed during translation. In the KJV, the word "sodomite" appears five times: Deuteronomy 23:17, 1 Kings 14:24, 15:12, 22:46 and 2 Kings 23:7. In the NIV, it's completely removed and replaced with "male shrine prostitute." Um, what's a male shrine prostitute?

REPLACING THE WORD "GOD" WITH "HE" God's name is dropped and replaced with a pronoun, confusing the context of the passage: BIBLE VERSE 1 Timothy 3:16

KJV And without controversy great is the mystery of the godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

NIV Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in the body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

A few problems here . . . first off, who is the "He" in the NIV verse? You go to a Buddhist he'll say it was Krishna and you go to a Muslim, he'll say it was Mohammed. Also, it's important to emphasize that God was manifest in the flesh (although the NIV removes that clarification) and essential to note that the message was preached unto the Gentiles specifically (instead of just the "nations" that the NIV states.)

BLOOD OF JESUS REMOVED Where did Jesus' blood go? BIBLE VERSE Colossians 1:14

KJV In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

NIV In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

NIV COPYWRITTEN NIV is copywritten and the KJV has no copyright ownership. The copyright of the KJV is "Crown Copyright" which allows it to be published by anyone, anytime, without asking for permission. ". . . but the word of God is not bound." 2 Timothy 2:9 (KJV)

JESUS CHRIST IS ROBBED OF WORSHIP The phrase, "worshipped Him"' is removed in the NIV in several verses: Matthew 8:2, 9:18, 15:25, 18:26, 20:20, Mark 5:6, 15:19

NIV DOESN'T LIKE HELL In the KJV, the word "hell" is used 31 times. In the NIV it is removed! Some verses even replace it with the word "grave". In the New Testament, it is commonly replaced with the word "hades". Talk about an author of confusion. The difference between hell and hades is quite different. A modern dictionary defines it as such: Hell = The realm of the devil in which the damned suffer everlasting punishment Hades = The underworld; the abode of the dead (very often used in Greek mythology)

LORD'S PRAYER PERVERTED The famous prayer Jesus prayed to God in heaven is also known as "The Lord's Prayer". It can be found in Matthew and Luke and both versions are tainted in the NIV: BIBLE VERSE Matthew 6:9-13

Luke 11:2-4

KJV Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, for ever. Amen. Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by

NIV Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we have also forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone

day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.

VERSES COMPLETELY YANKED OUT Open an NIV and you won't even find these verses in there. It just skips over it as though it never existed and you will also notice the missing number: Matthew 17:21, 18:11, 23:14, Mark 7:16, 9:44, 9:46, 11:26, 15:28, Luke 17:36, 23:17, John 5:4, Acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:7, 28:28, Romans 16:24, 1 John 5:7

POWERFUL WORDS REMOVED FOR "EASY TRANSLATION" Mercyseat = Throne of grace Jehovah = God Godhead = The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (The "Trinity" is a Catholic word and cannot be found in the Bible.) Remission = Forgiveness of sins Regeneration = Spiritual rebirth Impute = To charge a person with fault Propitiation = To make God favorably inclined towards you

VERSES TAMPERED WITH Now this just cuts the cake. If you don't believe it, then I encourage you to open the NIV and KJV Bible as I have done and actually compare this. Pieces of verses have been erased, not even "NIV translated" but completely removed: BIBLE VERSE Matthew 6:13 Matthew 15:8 Matthew 19:9 Matthew 20:7 Matthew 20:16 Matthew 20:22 Matthew 25:13 Matthew 27:35 Mark 6:11 Mark 10:21 Luke 1:28

REMOVED PORTION For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery and whatsoever is right that shall we receive for many be called, but few chosen and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with wherein the Son of Man cometh that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet. They parted my garments among them and upon my vesture did they cast lots Verily I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city take up the cross blessed art thou among women

Luke 4:4 Luke 4:8 Luke 4:18 Luke 11:2-4 John 1:27 John 3:13 John 3:15 John 11:41 John 16:16 Acts 10:6 Acts 15:18 Acts 20:24 Acts 23:9 Romans 8:1 Romans 13:9 1 Corinthians 6:20 1 Corinthians 11:24 2 Corinthians 10:4 Galatians 3:1 Ephesians 5:30 Philippians 3:16 1 Timothy 6:5 Hebrews 7:21 1 Peter 1:22 1 Peter 4:14 1 John 4:3 1 John 5:13 Revelation 1:11 Revelation 5:14 Revelation 14:5 Revelation 21:24

but by every word of God get thee behind me Satan he hath sent me t o heal the broken hearted Our . . . which art in . . . Thy will be done, as in heaven so in earth . . . but deliver us from evil is preferred before me which is in heaven should not perish from the place where the dead was laid because I go to the Father he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do known unto God are all his works But none of these things move me let us not fight against God who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit Thou shalt not bear false witness and in your spirit which are Gods Take eat . . . broken but mighty through God that you should not obey the truth of his flesh, and of his bones let us mind the same thing from such withdraw thyself after the order of Melchisedec through the Spirit on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified Christ is come in the flesh and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last him that liveth for ever and ever before the throne of God of them which are saved

Conclusion I remember the first time I heard about the error with different Bible translations. I was in the room when my brother was talking to my parents. At that time, we were using the NIV for our Bible, since that was what the church we were attending at the time used. "Did you know that the NIV completely pulls out verses that are in the KJV?" he announced. With shock and surprise, we went through the verses to see that they were completely pulled out of the Bible. I was flabbergasted. Why would they do that? Aren't all Bibles, no matter what version, the word of God?

Throughout the years since then and in my studies, I was surprised at how many errors, problems and confusions the translations had ensued. As is the age-old saying, "Why fix what's not broken?" but more importantly, the Bible says we are not to add or take away from His word. God created all languages, so He knew what He was doing when He oversaw the translations from the Hebrew and Greek to English. He also promised us that He would preserve His word forever. If that is the case and there are contradictory Bible verses in each version, then which version is deemed correct? I hope this comparison study has helped you as it has helped me. "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19
