RESEMBLANCE /COMPARISON WITH MOON & SUN Quran resembles prophet with shining sun (mehr-e-taban sura ahzab: we have sent u witness, ….. ) Sun and moon are 2 heavenly objects used by people to give resemblance to pretty people. Ladies say my son is moon/chand and calls her my chand. He/she is rashk-e-Qamar. Ladies name is qamar ul nisa (moon of ladies). Since nothing is more glowing than these 2 objects, sahaba also used this for resemblance and told also that sun and moon can not compete him. More beautiful than Moon: hadith of jabir bin samura, on one night of full moon I was comparing moon and face of prophet repeatedly and finally concluded that glow of HIS face was dominant / more prettier than the moon. Because moon has shadow marks and face of prophet is nafees and is without any sign of blemish.
