What a joy it was to see JACK JOHNSON make his public profession of faith on Sunday! I had a conversation with Jack before church and he told me all about a talk he had with his Mom, looking at some Bible verses, and praying to receive Jesus. I told him I think this is the greatest gift a parent can give a child - introducing them to Jesus. I look forward to baptizing Jack in the near future and please pray for him as he grows in his relationship with the Lord. On Sunday afternoon, Pastors and youth leaders from churches all over town met in Karkalits Hall to talk about student ministry and working together to help students come to know Christ. I’m thankful for Eric and his work in putting this meeting together and being a leader in our community for student ministry. If you would like to be a part of this group and help Eric with students, please make contact with him and he will plug you in. I hope you enjoyed the first installment of a three-part sermon series concerning ‘The One Another Principles.’ I believe our commitment towards building a loving community of faith is vital to our future. I hope this series might transform our thinking concerning our sisters and brothers in Christ here at FBC and that it will draw us closer to each other. Pray for me and our church as we grow in this understanding of what it truly means to be a family of faith.
