Asking too many closed questions that require only one-word answers. Students must also be asked how did they learn or how did they arrive at their answers. Further, less opportunities are provided for students to ask questions.
Students were given sufficient waiting time to answer before going on or asking others to respond. Moreover, if the student is unable to answer, the question is rephrased or a more factual question is asked to bridge the gap and help lead the student toward the answer. LOVELY C. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (PDP) Reflection Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could ever think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over again the best way to teach, learn and how to make learners to extend what has been learned. Having sworn to perform all my duties and responsibilities to the best of my ability, I have been constantly seeking to enhance my command of subject matter knowledge and mastery in the application of teaching strategies and skills in order to effective deliver quality education to every learners. Hence, on top of my professional development plan is my aspiration to attend seminars, trainings, workshops and other related activities which will positively affect my teaching ability to enhance and develop my skills in communicating and processing information accurately and in a way that is appropriate to the subject and to my learners. There are still always a lot of things left to be learned and there must always be room for improvement. In this way, I am ensuring that the set of learners I teach are offered the best instructions they deserve. Additionally, attaining master’s degree is equally vital in my profession development. This is why during the crafting of my PDP, my desire to graduate in masteral education has come to life again since it put on my senses that uplifting my degree means bringing my entire career to a whole new level. It is also greatly accepted that our learners vary in the way they learn, differ in the way they perceive things and diverge in their learning pace. Therefore not one method will successfully work for every type of learning. With these, I believe that the teacher’s collaboration in planning, evaluating new ideas and application of learning technologies in classroom learning will have a positive impact to improve student learning. The reality that the emergence of technology has a major impact on teaching-learning process. It will help learners form personal connections with the subject matter and puts them in control of their own learning experiences. Thus, if we are working toward implementing effective approaches we must be willing and able to utilize materials and techniques that will help to enhance learning.
Moreover, being an educator we must be continually aspire to enhance our capabilities in addressing the teaching-learning requirements of the 21st century by enrolling in an online learning course such as GURO21 Course 2. We often find learner’s in a class showing much diversity in their needs and interests. Learners differ a lot in their motivation, prior knowledge and skills, learning styles, multiple intelligences, interests and backgrounds. To tap each student’s potential, as a teacher I must incessantly aspire to be trained to gain new ideas on MIs and skills in using different strategies which are very imperative to provide a positive and nurturing learning environment for a diverse learners. Furthermore, campus journalism is also another opportunity to develop through the culture of joining press conference that provides an avenue to concretely practice truth and fairness. Likewise, I believe that this will be a great opportunity to mentor campus scribes to become socially responsible and productive citizens. Being an educator, I find the crafting of my Professional Development Plan very much helpful in improving myself professionally. I acknowledge, though, that it was indeed challenging since I know for a fact that the efficacy of my PDP is tied up to my planning ability plus the time and serious thoughts I apportion to it. Generally, everything stipulated in my Professional Development Plan is for my advancement and improvement which is a necessity in enjoying rich and excellent teaching-learning experiences.

MY CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN Philosophical Statement: To live life productively and meaningfully, I want my student to have a deep sense of values in the 21st century. They are all equipped with the essential knowledge, skills, attitudes and values for them to face the challenges to the changes of time. I want them to be able to find ways to remain strong despite the vulnerabilities of life. As a facilitator of learning, I want to make my learners actively engaged in the teaching-learning process, and feel the welcoming, comfortable and friendly atmosphere in the class. The sense of belongingness and importance of my learners is uplifted and heightened. Their learning environment must be conducive in order to encourage learners to soar high to progress. I want them to discover their potentials and I will help them nurture them and make use of that to improve themselves. My classroom must be an enabling factor for learners to grow and develop.
Rules and Procedure I believe that the classroom should be friendly where everyone respects one another in the utmost sense of sincerity. I want to have rules in the class that everyone should be guided of and follow. This will be done on the first day to let students understand what is expected of them in order to prevent indiscipline. This will be a contract that the students and I make, which after will be posted on the wall to use as a reminder of how we all agreed to behave in our classroom. I will solicit ideas from the learners on how to go through with them that involves their participation in our school activities. The democratic style in establishing rules and procedures is very helpful of instilling to the learners the responsibility and leadership.
Classroom Arrangement The set-up of my classroom has a big effect on my student learning. As the classroom manager, I must make certain that the way I set up my classroom will be beneficial and not detrimental to its inhabitants, that it should help the pupils get focus while comfortably learning. Students are hit with natural lighting from the walls, windows and an inviting sensation. They feel safe and welcome wandering to their seats in a circle tables which comes from in a variety of unique shapes, sizes and colors at the same time see their classmates as they face each other. A cabinet at the left side of the room to put all their things and a word wall on top for their vocabulary words. There is enough space in front which serves
as the platform where they do their group performances and group/individual reporting. Student work will be place from wall to wall all depicted in colorful posters around the room. There is also a portfolio area where the learners can exhibit their works. There should also a space for materials and technologies that can be utilized for the teaching-learning episodes in my classroom. Modern technology like computers, TV and audio should be present. Also present in my classroom a collection of children’s favorite books within our reading corner and other references gathered in a nook. The keeping our classroom clean, orderly, and conducive for learning is a shared responsibility between me as the classroom manager and the pupils who are my co-inhabitants.

Misbehavior Intervention One of the many challenges of classroom management is dealing with behavior. If learners quarrel, I would listen to both sides so that I will be able to have informed decision on the behavior measure that I must take. I would talk to my learners and listen to their claims in a manner that will make them feel still respected and valued despite any mistake. I would make the child feel at ease, so that it would be easier for me too to analyze how to treat the situation, and find ways to help the learners correct their wrong doing. I would also ask help from parents and school faculty to work with me hand-in-hand in disciplining their children in nice manner, so that they won’t get embarrassed.
Classroom Safety In a classroom, safety must be consistently observed in physical arrangements of furniture, equipment and in the conduct of class and school activities. Safety measures on the use of electrical equipment and instructional materials should be made known to the learners. Cabinets and hanging furniture should be well-placed. There is also a need of my students as well as the teacher to participate to hazard drills in school so that everyone knows what to do during unwanted circumstances. I want to have a classroom that is safe not only in terms of physical attributes but also social and emotional such as safety from bullying and maltreatment.
Student Celebration Students’ milestones are worthy of celebration. Learners who manifest significant improvement in their performances and behavior need to be recognized and be given special mention through praises, acknowledgements, and encouraging gestures. In my classroom, the pupils’ exemplary effort is celebrated through warm congratulations, certificates, medals and other rewards during classroom convocation. In cases when pupils win competitions bearing the name of the school, they are recognized during flag raising ceremony in front of all the pupils, teachers and parents.

MY CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN A Reflection Classroom management is an important component in any educational setting. This is because meaningful learning takes place when students are in safe environment (Kauffman et al., 2006).In making this classroom management plan, the main goal is to have the right environment for all learners. A teacher’s good management ability is prerequisite to establishing outstanding classroom setting which in due course will be advantageous to the pupils. When I plotted out my Classroom Management Plan, it caused me to reflect on several matters that are noted to be imperative in realizing my personal and professional goal of constantly creating a pleasant and conducive classroom set-up. Additionally, it led me to consider embracing commitment and devotion at all times and strive to be a better version of myself as a classroom manager. Also, it directed me to consider enforcing the set rules, regulations and procedures to ensure that they are religiously followed by the pupils. Moreover, this type of plan has awakened my senses that I shouldn’t just be apportioning so much attention to the pupils’ academic performances, rather put equal weight to the factors that will contribute to its attainment such as classroom arrangement and safety. In conclusion, I believe that this classroom management plan is a key to a conducive learning environment where students feel safe and are actively involved in learning activities. This will allow me to understand how will the learner will grow and develop his/her understanding in my classroom. I’m looking forward to use my classroom management plan to my students this school year and will continue to improve this plan as I integrate other methods and teaching strategies into my practice.
