OBJECTIVES: At the end of the period, at least 75% proficiency level of the students are expected to: 1. identify the three (3) basic sentence pattern; 2. discuss each basic sentence pattern; 3. compose a sentence applying the three (3) basic sentence pattern; and 4. express appreciation on the importance of three (3) basic sentence pattern in constructing sentences.

PROCEDURES A. Preliminaries: - Preparatory Activities: - Prayer - Greetings - Checking of Attendance - Setting of standards - Recall B. Motivation/Activity: The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will be given an envelope containing strips of papers and jumbled words. Each group should assemble it into a grammatically correct sentence. The first group to post the assembled sentence on the board will be proclaimed as the winner and will receive a prize. C. Analysis: The teacher will ask question leading to the topic: -What have you observed with the activity? -Do you have any observations on the sentences you have formed? -Based on the activity we have done, what do you think is our topic today? D. Abstraction: The teacher will present the topic. The teacher will ask students prior knowledge. Together with the students, the teacher will discuss the topic and present examples for better understanding. The teacher will also present the SPRINGBOARD to the class and get some examples. The teacher ill then process students answers and examples from the selection. E. Application: With the same group as the motivation, each group will compose 3 sentences applying the basic sentence patterns. Each group will be given 5-8 minutes to make the activity. After the time allotted per group, presentation will follow. Each group will be rated based on the rubric attached to this plan. F. Generalization: Each group will be asked with this question: - How will you express appreciation on the importance of the three (3) basic sentence pattern in constructing sentences?

EVALUATION: The teacher will give a 10-item quiz about basic sentence pattern.
