MISSION STATEMENT The New York City Loft Board was established pursuant to state law and Executive Order No. 66 of September 30, 1982 to resolve issues regarding the legalization and regulation of loft buildings converted to residential use. The staff of the Loft Board also enforces the zoning resolution and administrative code to prevent illegal conversion of lofts throughout the City.
