If you are an active member, reservist or veteran of the U.S. Armed Services and have taken pictures in a deployed environment, this is a great opportunity to compete for one of three great prizes including a free overnight stay at Lake Martin in Alabama or MidBay Shores in Destin, Florida! The U.S. Air Force Culture and Language Center will be holding a photo contest from 15 June – 31 July 2009. All photos must satisfy all of the following guidelines: 1) All photos submitted must be representative of culturally complex (deployed) environments and should capture the following: -Working to train foreign civilian, defense or police forces -Working alongside foreign forces on a mission or task 2) Photos should be sent with the highest resolution, unedited, un-cropped and in JPEG format. 3) Photos must include the following information: -Names, positions, ranks, nationalities and ethnicities of all known persons in the photo -A description of the action taking place in the photo 4) No “staged” photos in front of monuments, etc. 5) The photographer must sign a letter of release, ensuring custody of the photo to the Air Force Culture and Language Center. If you are interesting in sharing your photos with us, please send them in an email to [email protected] with “AFCLC PHOTO CONTEST” in the subject line.
