International Photo Contest Organized on the occasion of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The subject of the contest is: “Violence against women in any of its manifestations.” Entries must be original photographs that have not been entered in any other contests. The contest is open to students, amateurs and professionals of any nationality, living in Spain or abroad. All types of photograph may be submitted (classic, digital, collage, retouched, black and white, etc.). Creativity and sensitivity in approaching the subject matter will be valued, as well as dignifying the problem. Entrants may submit up to three photographs. Photograph size must be proportional to that of the exhibit: 30 x 30 cms / 60 x 30 cms (horizontal and vertical) / 100 x 20 cms (only horizontal). Photographs will be registered in the name of the physical person whose data are included on the leaflet. Said person will also be the sole recipient of any prizes won by their photographs. The contest organizers assume that entrants own all rights pertaining to their entries. The organizers will not, therefore, accept any responsibility for any consequences caused by entrants not owning all rights Entries must be submitted digitally (TIFF or JPEG) on a CD or DVD explicitly marked with the entrant’s name or pseudonym. Entries must also be submitted in physical form, either printed or developed (minimum size A3), with the name or pseudonym of the owner written on the back. The printed or developed photographs, the digital copies and duly filled out and signed leaflet (or copy thereof) must be delivered to the Queen Sofía Center in a closed envelope marked on the outside with the entrant’sname or pseudonym and their personal data (first name, last name(s), ID/passport number, address, and telephone number). Entries must be sent to the following address: Camino Casa Clemencia nr. 4, 46010 Valencia, Spain. The contest closes October 15. Any entries arriving after said date will be rejected. A jury chosen by the Queen Sofía Center will select the winning entries. The jury’s decisions are final. Entrants cede all rights to their entries to the Queen Sofía Center, which will be free to distribute, use, edit and display all submitted photographs. The winning entry will become the exclusive property of the Queen Sofía Center. The exhibit will be held in the month of November so as to coincide with November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
