cared more… 2 transitional living homes, owned by Port Hueneme managed by Lutheran Social Services, were completely furnished thanks to the Action ministry center warehouse, 2 young children and their father received housing after the loss of their mother by the step-father in a murder-suicide, thanks to a referral from Casa Pacifica and VC Child Protective Services,

400+ church volunteers descended on Piru for a town makeover during the 2009 ACTION Serve Multiple partnerships cross-county increased food distribution through churches and agencies including Mercy Ministries, Manna and Simi Food Pantry, thanks to a partnership between ACTION with VC Food Share 10 Ventura County residents struggling with homelessness and sober living were placed into area treatments centers, including Teen Challenge, Casa De Vida, Rescue Mission, VC Behavioral Health & Telecare, thanks to ACTION staff. 12+ county families struggling with mentally ill relatives referred for ministry assistance, resources and life coaching, thanks to the ACTION network. ACTION Executive Director Rob Orth recognized by Turning Point Foundation and Ventura County Board of Supervisors as a “Champion of Mental Health. Financial assistance to fix a Christian couple’s car (foster parents); in turn, donated their other car to a recently emancipated foster youth (age 19), so she could have the car to get back and forth to school and work..” $8,000 in school supplies & 200 backpacks passed out $5,000 in gift gave high school grad gifts to foster youth
