Assessment Committee Meeting Minutes Executive Board Committee November 6, 2008 3:00-5:00 in Room 3603 Claire Stuart Quintanilla ran meeting, Chair Minutes taken by Stephanie Owen, Recorder I. Sign-in roll call • Seven members attended II. Acceptance of minutes of previous meeting • Forgot to include HLC Academy dues • Question about special assignments • Unclear about what encompasses special assignments • Will faculty stipends come out of this? • Claire Stuart Quintanilla will talk with VP O’Malley about where monies for faculty overtime will come from (Assessment Committee budget or Administration) • Accept minutes upon clarification about dollar figure • Double check amount with Jane Reynolds III. Old business • Newsletter • Need to clarify Sheila Wicks article • Stephanie Owen will follow up • Not enough time to revise so replace with Assessment Day article • Print date is set for week before Thanksgiving • By-laws • Question about who has latest version • Stephanie Owen will check with Jane Reynolds about the revisions made at a previous meeting (Akiza Boddie-Willis suggested some changes) • Update for next week IV. Certificate for assessment day participation • Claire Stuart Quintanilla signed certificates of appreciation for Assessment Day participants. • Certificates made and brought by Michael Callon • Michael Callon will distribute to those who participated V. Furniture, including four file cabinets, three book cases, printer/scanner/fax machine, and five tables, will need to be purchased Agreed to joint budget with Professional Development in purchasing furnishings • Suggested paying for three bookshelves $1500 • Suggested paying for two of the four wooden filing cabinets. Split cost with Professional Development For 2 cabinets $1200 • Suggested paying for three-in-one printer $500
