Summary of Experience I possess diversified experience of around two decades in IT based accounting and systems development fields. Work Experience: Manager ERP, 4B Group, Lahore. June 2007 – March 2008 Worked with 4B Group, a group of companies working in various fields like Telecom, Vehicle tracking system, Fertilizers & pesticides and high tech LDI systems. I have
been serving here as Manager ERP. Duties included implementation of customdesigned ERP software, Preparation of related documents and technical reports, implementation of software for accounts and inventory in all the companies in the group. My responsibilities also included, to train end-users of all the departments on this software. Business Manager, Epoch Systems, Lahore. Oct 2004 – Aug 2006 I worked with Epoch Systems, a software development company since 1986. In this company my responsibilities included deployment of the software at clients’ premises, customer support, interaction between client and support team, finalization of client’s systems requirements and development of user’s manual of ERP solution. I was also responsible for designing of input documents, report-formats and technical documentation for clients. I was also responsible for office administration and general day to day accounting matters. Manager, Inner Secret, UAE May 2003 – Nov 2003 Inner Secret is an organization dealing in branded Lingerie items, having three major outlets in UAE. Duties included looking after accounts, stocks, movement of items from factory to the branches and from one branch to the other and to get computerized reports of all the above activities. Systems Analyst/Programmer, CADCAM Consulting, Lahore Sep 1992 – Dec1999 During this job, I worked as the person-in-charge of the company’s computer section. Duties included management of computer section, staff training (according to the Requirements of the project) and responsibility of all the jobs being carried out in computer section. There I worked on two major projects described as under; WAPDA’s Rural Electrification/Database management Project financed by World Bank. Objectives of this project were to collect, enter and to process data of villages of two provinces i.e. Sind and Balochistan. The project requirement was to design and manage a global database to store and process data collected from the field and to develop the software as per client’s requirements. Major steps were, collection of data, data entry, data processing and calculation of cost/benefit ratio for the villages to be electrified in future. WAPDA’s rural Electrification/Mapping project financed by OECF, Japan. It was a multi-million dollars project, finance by Overseas Economic Co-operative Fund (Japan). The objectives of this project were to electrify pre-selected villages in the province of Sind. For this purpose we had to make drawings of villages based on surveyed data collected from field, collected by our surveying team. Then the proposed Electrification systems were marked on the village maps. Programs were developed to generate basic drawings from the surveying data. More programs were
developed to generate a variety of reports, bills of quantity, work orders and to calculate line loses and voltage drop for low tension and high-tension lines.
Systems Manager, Progressive Consultants, Lahore Oct 1991 – Aug 1992 Progressive Consultants are Engineering, Architecture and Construction consultants. There I worked as person in charge of the Company’s Computer section. Developed some customized programs for their use, like Payroll, Bill of Quantities and mailing system, accounts and inventory system. Duties also included training of their draftsmen on AutoCAD, Management of Computer section etc. Worked on many projects like drawings of Civil and Architectural designs of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and Cancer research Centre. Applications Analyst, Cres-Soft, Lahore Nov 1989 – Sep1991 In this software house, I worked with their software developers’ team. There my duties were to develop custom designed software for clients. Major steps were to study existing system, software documentation, propose new (computerized) system, which included writing technical reports on studied system, proposed system and coding schemes etc. Writing user manual of developed software was also a part of job. Further steps were programming and implementation of the new system using UNIX as operating system. There I developed many custom designed software, like Payroll, Inventory, Sale, Purchase etc. and wrote many reports on existing and proposed systems for various clients. Marketing Executive, East West Systems, Lahore Dec1988 – Oct 1989 With this Karachi based company, I worked as marketing executive. Duties were to market branded computers, printers, peripherals and communication systems. Manager, Computer Guide (Training Institute), Lahore Feb 1988 – Dec 1988 In this computer-training institute my duties were to manage the institute and to teaching a variety of computer courses.
