It was Saturday afternoon. There were no classes. As what they always did every weekend, Vincent, Joshua, and Dindo were in the playground. While they were busy running around the playground, a young man approached them. “Look! Here comes Mr. Arevalo,” Dindo told his friends. Mr. Arevalo works as one of the supervisors in a very big mall in the their place. “Hi, boys! It seems you are all very free today. Who wants to see a movie with me? I have an extra ticket,” said Mr. Arevalo. “I, Sir,” the three boys answered together. “Oh! The three of you like to come. But I have only one extra ticket. You draw lots. Will it be okay? Mr. Arevalo asked. “Okay, Sir. There will be no problem for us,” the three friends answered. The boys drew lots. Each boy was excited and hoping that he can would be the one. As the boys waited with eyes closed, Mr. Arevalo was getting ready to announce the name of the lucky one. “Joshua will come with me!” Mr. Arevalo told the boys. “That’s great, Joshua! Enjoy yourself and congratulations!” the two boys happily told Joshua as each shook with his hand.
For a while, Mr. Arevalo was silent. Then he said, “You are good friends, indeed. You should be seeing the movie together. Let’s all go.” “Oh, thank you, Sir! We appreciate your kindness.
