Executive summary The project was carried out for the development of training module on Go Course template for the capacity building of supervisors of local partners for the Campierganj block of Gorakhpur district. This project was an intervention of CRS India with the collaboration of GBPUA&T, Pantnagar and Cornell University, New York. During the project for the survey of the project area forward group meeting was conducted with farmers group, SHGs and personal interview of government officials. Since the project area was flood prone area and most of the farmers were small or marginal land holders. They were in need to increase the productivity as well as economically cheap option to supplement their income. After analysis of data, long discussion with local partners of CRS India and getting suggestions from the experts I worked on developing training modules over the System of Rice Intensification and Goat Rearing for the betterment of livelihood of the rural poor people of the Campierganj block. During the development of modules I adopted the seven designed steps for the adult learning and drafted modules and tools after repeated field testing and improvement of the modules and tools. As a result of the project I came out with three constituents of the training module, first was training module on Go Course format, second was training tools and the third was facilitators note. System of Rice Intensification is a technique used to increase the productivity of Rice with low inputs (even less than the traditional technique) with less time period of maturity. Similarly Goat rearing can proved as most economical and beneficial way to supplement the livelihood of the small and marginal land holders of rural area. Campierganj block has a great opportunity to come out as a developed area since the soil fertility is good and ease of market accessibility. Need is to create awareness among the needed people and helping them to adopt the new technology in customized form.
