Activities Committee We had one committee chairman (The Coffee Club) submit the requested information for publication in the 9Lines. Hopefully, the other committees will follow that lead. See the back page for the Coffee Club’s information. Thank you, Zelda, for your commitment. It’s hard to believe that so much can be done with a pot of coffee. Zelda is a light of hope for the future of the Ranch. Note to Other Committee Chairmen: If you have failed to do so, please remember to turn in your financial information given at the Board Meeting to the Ranch Office as soon as possible for inclusion in next week’s 9Lines. It is not necessary that you write an article, just turn in where your committee funds were used on the Ranch and outline any future goals. Our committees do a tremendous job and it is time they get the recognition they deserve. Many members not able to be on the Ranch this time of year read the 9Lines online and keep up with what’s happening HERE.
The Ranch Office has a new form available for your 9-Lines entries. Pick up one at the Office Window.

CRAFT HOUSE COOKBOOK #4
JOB WELL DONE We have a Board of Directors that spend many hours each week working for us with no pay, much criticism and few words of praise. All of our directors this year have shown a spirit of cooperation that has surpassed boards of the past. At this time of year, the board usually takes a well-deserved few months off from meetings. They do not, however, stop working for us every day while on and off the Ranch. When you see one of our board members, take the time to thank them personally for their service this year. Thank you, Gene Muenks-President, James PhillipsVice-President, Marie Pilkinton-Secretary, Larry Armstrong-Treasurer, Skip Wyman, Don Scott and

[email protected] your question and we’ll find the answer for you. When space permits, we will publish some of the questions and answers here in the 9Lines. FYI: Many have asked about the 9Lines format changes in recent weeks. Kadye Ward volunteered several weeks ago to help with the 9Lines. She does this from her own computer and sends it to the Ranch Office via email or disk. Kadye has asked us to let owners know if they have any articles for consideration, suggestions or comments, you may send them to her at
[email protected]. Of course, you may still turn in your articles to the Ranch Office by Wednesday at Noon for publication on Thursday of each week.
FALL VOLUNTEER PROJECTS Several of our board of directors, and other dedicated owners, organized several volunteer preservation and restoration projects for the coming months when there is less activity on the Ranch. There is no affiliaton of these projects to a committee or club, none have officers or attempt to generate funds (although they do accept donations to a specific project). If you have an idea for a project not listed and are willing to organize it, or interested in information on approved projects, call our Ranch Manager Greg Watts or email him at
[email protected], for project approval (must have an organizer/contact person to obtain approval) Watch 9Lines for a project WISH LISTS, scheduled workdays and updates! Approved planned projects underway or coming soon and a contact person for each project is:

The Board of Directors have approved and passed the following ADDITIONAL RULE BOOK CHANGES, ADDITIONS OR CLARIFICATIONS as of October 2009:
WHAT IS THE COFFEE CLUB AND WHAT HAS IT DONE FOR THE RANCH IN 2009?
Add the underlined words to present rule 8-B on page 12: 8. B. No hunting within 150 yards of any Ranch facility, roads, or improvements and/or as outlined in BLUE on the Ranch map.
The Coffee Club is basically one or two owners who make coffee in the Clubhouse every day of the week and sell it for a nominal price. In 2008, they were instrumental in purchasing and installing the owner mail receptables in the Clubhouse. Zelda Huster is the volunteer in charge and she does a splendid job with helping every area of the Ranch with the funds collected. Zelda’s report is evident the Coffee Club supports every facet of the Ranch, from its employees to new projects when a need arises. If you want to contribute to the Coffee Club you may send a check to the Ranch Office designating the funds go to the Coffee Club, or drop a few dollars in the coffee can the next time you walk through the Clubhouse (even if you don’t take a cup of coffee). Coffee Club Disbursements through October 2009 Baby Mattie (Employee’s sick child) $100.00 Pre-Teen Bathroom Flooring $139.00 Metal Chairs for Clubhouse $ 52.58 Padded Chairs for Clubhouse $225.00 Campground signs $135.00 Umbrellas for Adult Pool $192.00 Auger for Ranch use $ 88.00 Pizza for Employee Appreciation Day $ 35.00 Dresser/Mirror/2 small tables for “Ranch Lodge Rental” $170.00 Flooring for Patio Room/Kitchen $200.00 TOTAL $1,328.58 Coffee Club Account Balance as of 10/17/2009
$796.16

Clarification on page 10, (Horses & Stables) Rule 6-A as follows: Remove: One (1) hour and two (2) hour rides are offered depending on the number of riders who purchase tickets.
