Firewood for Sale 5 sticks for $1.00 Available at the Gatehouse (only) Moving Forward With Prayer
Judy Sweetin led our prayer time last week. Judy’s emphasis was on working together and supporting our committees. John with his guitar and Jim with his banjo led our praise music. Vonda blessed our hearts with her lyrics and voice. On Saturday, 17 people met to clean our Chape. Many of the prayer group helped (pictures next week). Others cooked lunch for the workers at the Chapel and Highway cleanup crew. The unity we have been praying for is becoming evident everywhere on the Ranch. Barb Lawson will be leading our prayer time this Friday. This will be her last weekend on the Ranch until she arrives back next spring. Barb’s knowledge of the Scriptures and her life experiences have been vital to our prayer time and she will be missed. If you haven’t attended, work it into your schedule this week to come and hear Barb’s words of wisdom. You will be blessed and seeing every seat filled would be such a blessing for all of us. Anyone wanting to provide music or song, please come and share with us. We hope all of you will give an hour of your day and join us in praying for unity and praising God for the privilege of owning a share of this beautiful place together.
Every Friday at 10:00 AM in the Chapel. GOING PAPERLESS

I’VE GOT A QUESTION Do you have a question about something on the Ranch, but can’t find anyone who has the answer? Please email
[email protected] your question and we’ll find the answer for you. When space permits, we will publish some of the questions and answers here in the 9Lines. Here are a few FAQs to get us started: Q. What Rule Book is the Ranch using now? A. In July, our Board of Directors approved for distribution a newly formatted Rule Book with a revision date of 7/01/2009. This Rule Book is full-page size with a picture on the front cover of the Highway 160 Entrance Archway. The membership will vote on approval of the new Rule Book at our next election. From time to time the board will approve other rules changes, additions or deletions. Those will be posted in the 9Lines and should be placed on the Rule Book’s Addendum (Page 20). Q. Has the Ranch received a good response to the “going paperless” campaign? A. Yes, but we still need many more email addresses to make sure that the paperless effort gets off to a good start. If you haven’t sent in your paperless request, please do so now. Do your part and send an email today to
[email protected]. We’ll take care of the rest. Q. We are coming to the Ranch and are wondering if there is something we can do to help out while we’re there? A. Yes, the Ranch Riders work tirelessly to keep our trails neat and ready to ride. Check their website for ongoing projects (www.ranchriders.org). Also, we have several other volunteer projects underway, and more planned for the coming months. Contact persons for these volunteer projects are listed in the PARC (preservation and restoration crews) Section in the 9Lines.
CAN YOU FIND IT?
RULE BOOK CHANGES From time to time, the Board of Directors will approve certain changes/additions/deletions to our present Rule Book. The following changes were approved at or prior to the September 2009 board meeting: Camping & Registration: Page 4, Section1-E: Add this EXEMPTION (regarding guest fee): Upon Owner’s request, an exemption to the current guest fee will be implemented at the Gatehouse for guests who visit Ranch Owners for a short period of time (not to exceed 3 hours in a 7-day period). Guest is required to pay guest fee when signing in. Upon guest exiting the Ranch within the 3-hour limitation from the time of arrival, guest fee will be refunded. No ATV registrations are allowed for guests using this exemption. Each visit under this exemption will count toward the limitations of guest visits for the calendar year (See Section1.C & D). Page 4, Section 1-F. (Addition to present rule) Owner is not allowed to reserve a pad for a guest prior to arrival (See Section 3.H.) Upon arrival of a guest, owner must be present and state what type of guest non-owners are and length of stay. (See definitions and limitations in above). Page 5, NON-OWNER CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Step 1: (Addition to present rule): Sponsoring Owner/Associate must be registered on the Ranch and present at the Gatehouse for registration of a Non-Owner. Owner must remain registered and on the Ranch at all times a Non-Owner guest is on the Ranch (No Exceptions). Owner must state what type of guest non-owner is and length of non-owner’s stay (See definitions and limitations in Section 1.) Fishing Rules: Page 11, Section 7-B – In the first sentence, the wording is changed as follows: remove “the east side” and replace with “25 yards east” of Fogey Hollow Crossing. Page 11 – Section 7- E - In the second sentence, add “25 yards below” handicapped dock upstream is prohibited. Page 12 –Section 7-L – Change August fishing start time to 6:30 a.m. Page 12, Section 7-M (Catch & Release Program): should be removed and replaced with the following: M. Catch & Release Program: STOCKED AREA: ONLY ARTIFICIAL LURES AND FLIES WITH BARBLESS HOOKS MAY BE USED (NO NATURAL or SCENTED BAIT ALLOWED). Catch and release is allowed EXCEPT 25 yards down and 25 yards upstream from Fogey Hollow Crossing (NO FISHING allowed in this area, at any time). Stringers are not allowed and all fish must be released (no exceptions). NON-STOCKED AREA: 25 yards down from Fogey Hollow to the property line, fisherman may keep one (1) fish below the tubes per day as long as it exceeds eighteen (18) inches in length. This allows for keeping a “Trophy Fish”. All other Catch and Release rules apply. Vehicular Safety: Page 13, Section 10. Add the following sentences: “Speed limits are posted throughout the Ranch Complex and are enforced. In cases where speed limits are not apparent, the following will apply.” Page 14, Section 10: Add the following sentence AFTER SPEED LIMIT CHART: “Passing of vehicles is prohibited unless the slower vehicle has pulled to the side of the road and has stopped.”
