Answer: It is true that Ignesious lost his wife. One of his children held his father-inlaw’s hand and another kid his brother-in-law’s hand when they were last seen. 2. Sanjeev made it to safety after the tsunami. Answer: Sanjeev, the policeman could save himself as well as his family. But later when he jumped to save his friend’s wife he perished. 3. There seemed an inevitability about what on ground had looked haphazard, unplanned and without style When the jet sprang into the sky. This poem is about the way our earth looks from sky if we go at different altitudes. When the Aeroplane takes off and starts to climb up in the sky, you can have a bird’s eye view of the city below. It shows how unplanned and ugly the city can look. It also gives a reason to think that how difficult it is develop an ideal outlay of a city. Because the earth is more powerful than human beings and we have to learn to compromise with the powerful earth.
When the jet reached ten thousand feet, it was clear why the country had cities where the rivers ran and why the valleys were populated. The logic of geography — that land and water attracted man — was clearly delineated When the jet reached ten thousand feet. When the Aeroplane climbs higher upto about 10,000 feet, then you can see a vast tract of land underneath. No more map view of city, rather a view of green and brown land with rivers crisscrossing the landscape. It becomes clear from above that all the river basins attract human settlement.
When the jet rose six miles high, it was clear the earth was round and that it had more sea than land. But it was difficult to understand that the men on the earth found causes to hate each other, to build walls across cities and to kill. From that height, it was not clear why.

Finish Line & Beyond When the plane reaches the stratosphere then you can see the spherical outline of the earth. Then you can see that there is more water than land on the earth. The earth looks really beautiful. Like a blue gem. While appreciating the geographical niceties of our planet, the poet is unable to understand one aspect. This is our tendency to build borders, to erect walls, to create fences. This is our tendency to fight with fellow human beings over territorial rights. Right from the city’s limits to geographical features to earth’s spherical shape, everything can be seen clearly from sky. By you cannot have clarity on why we, the human beings are filled with so much of hatred.
