Narrowboat Lost Winner of the IWA 2008 Festival “Cressy” award for the best residential boat and the Calor Rose Bowl award for the best galley this fabulous narrowboat is as good as it gets. The 12mm bottomed trad shell is by John Horton - a graduate of Les Allen’s famous Oldbury yard whilst the fit out by Streethay Wharf is simply some of the best joinery I have seen on a boat - both in attention to detail and robust construction. No expense has been spared in any area, from the electrical installation, the custom built galley with its solid oak worktops, to the well-planned saloon with its reclaimed antique oak plank floor. An impressive fully rebuilt Gardner 4LK graces the engine room and the boatman’s cabin is as faithful a reproduction of the real thing as can be found. Suffice to say that as a new build this boat would cost in excess of £200,000 - with Lost The Plot there is no waiting time, the boat is tried and tested and ready to go.
