Eric Phu Joins Tribal DDB Hong Kong Hong Kong, June 28, 2009 --DDB Group Hong Kong has appointed Eric Phu as Managing Director of Tribal DDB Hong Kong. Boasting a wealth of knowledge in the digital arena, Eric will be responsible for all Tribal DDB related clients, including McDonalds, KLM, Reebok and Philips. “An experienced agency leader, Eric has a proven track record of success in the digital sphere; from growing digital offerings and creating stand-out, effective and award winning digital campaigns, to managing teams and generating superb solutions for clients. I am very excited about his arrival and about the future of Tribal DDB under his leadership,” said Richard Thomas, President & CEO of DDB Group Hong Kong. Eric has over a decade of digital marketing experience on both agency and client side. Before joining Tribal DDB in Hong Kong, he held various roles at Euro RSCG in Sydney for six years, including Business Development and Operations Director, Head of Digital and more recently, Head of Engagement Strategy. His clients included Sony, Dell, IBM, Tourism Australia, Reckitt Benckiser, Jaguar, Volvo, Kimberly Clark, nineMSN and Intel. “Eric’s strategic background and in-depth knowledge of digital will be a true asset to Tribal DDB Hong Kong and its clients. As we continue to witness a shift from traditional to digital media, Eric’s abilities will help push our creative offering further, while providing a clear way for our clients to meet their objectives, said Amanda King, President and Managing Partner, Tribal DDB Asia Pacific. Eric was also the Head Lecturer for the AdSchool Digital Strategy course at Sydney’s University of Technology. He helped train students and developed expertise within the industry, on topics ranging from search and email marketing best practices through to social media applications and integrated creativity.
