Capacity – Minimum 1/8 inch thick and 4 inch wide sheet can be cut by this machine. Operation – It is used for cutting sheet 2) Hydraulic pressMain parts - Gear, Punch, Spindle and Table. Operation - It is used for bending any sheet. It can be also used for making the surface of a sheet flat. 3) Bending MachineOperation - It can be used for fitting and bending any sheet. Limitation - As there is no scale for adjusting the angle, so in the case of bending any sheet at a definite angle this machine cannot be used. Capacity- The sheet can be bent at maximum 90°. 4) Hydraulic pressThe difference between hydraulic press and hydraulic hand press is that hydraulic hand press is operated by hand. Page-17
5) Column drill machineMain parts - Table and Gear box. Advantages •Table can be adjusted •Gear box is also adjustable •Speed can be controlled. 6) Power pressMain parts – Die and Punch Capacity – Maximum 12.5 mm thick sheet can be bent by this machine. 7) Radial drill machine – Its ram is movable but job is fixed. Advantages 1) It is especially suitable for very large and heavy job. 2) It can be operated automatically and manually. 3) Its speed can be controlled. Capacity - Its maximum rpm is 1400 and minimum rpm is 50. 8) Combined shearing machine – It is used to punch job. 9) Pipe bending machineIt is used to bend pipe. Capacity- Maximum 4 inch pipe can be bent. 10) Roller machine Capacity - A sheet of maximum 1 inch thick and 5 inch long can be rolled by this machine. Page-18
