Sheridan Springfest Sheridan Springfest invites all kids to walk in the 2009 Springfest Kid’s Parade on Saturday, May 23, at 10 a.m. No registration is necessary. Children of all ages who are interested in participating should plan to arrive at 9:30 a.m. for the parade line–up that starts on Pearl Lake Drive, just west of the VFW. The parade will then proceed east on County Farm Road to the VFW’s back parking lot, where prizes for costumes will be awarded and free games and refreshments will be offered. This year’s theme will be “Honor To The Flag.” The theme will show how the flag represents all Americans who have fought for our freedom, either now or in the past, and how we honor those Americans through honoring the flag. Participants are encouraged to dress or decorate in relation to the theme. In case of rain, the parade, games, and refreshments will be held inside the VFW post. Please feel free to call (989) 291–5033 with any questions. If you are interested in being selected at Miss Sheridan, you can pick up an entry form in the Sheridan Elementary School office. Contestants shall not be less than five years old or older than 17 by May 1, 2009. Contestants must reside in the Central Montcalm school district.
