Their Scale of pay will be Rs.4,410/- to Rs.13,210/- (likely to be revised). Total Emoluments payable in a metropolitan city like Mumbai will be approx. Rs.7,200/-. India Tourism Development Corporation Limited came into existence in October 1966 with the main objective of expansion of tourism infrastructure in the country. Presently, it has a network of eight Ashok Group of Hotels, six Joint Venture Hotels, 2 Restaurants (including one Airport Restaurant), 11 Transport Units, one Tourist Service Station, 2 Duty Free Shops and two Sound & Light Shows. The Chairman & Managing Director, ITDC has overall control overthe day-to-day activities of the ITDC. The C&MD shall exercise such powers as may be prescribed. 2. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to the post of the Chairman & Managing Director, ITDC. 3. The method of recruitment would be by direct recruitment (on contract basis). The following are the terms and conditions for the postof Chairman & Managing Director.lTDC:1. Scale of Pay The post carries Schedule B scale of pay of Rs. 75000-90000 (w.e.f. 1.1.2007) plus Industrial DA or Pay Band 4, scale of pay Rs. 3740067000, Grade Pay Rs. 10.000/- plus Central DA. The incumbent will be eligible for Staff Car for official and personal use subject to the conditions laid down by the Department of Public Enterprises from time to time. Private Candidates:He/she should have adequate experience of management in the hospitality sector at the board level or one level below, in a company listed in the stock exchange and having a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 100 crore (to be supported by relevant documents). ii.) Public Sector Executives:- Eligibility pay scales (A) Below Board Level Executives: Rs. 7250-8250 (IDA) or Rs. 950011500 (IDA) (post 1.1.1992) or Rs. 20500-26500 (IDA) (post 1.1.1997) or Rs. 51300-73000 (IDA) (post 1.1.2007) or (B) Board Level Executives: Rs. 7500-8500 (IDA) or Rs. 10000-12000 (IDA) (post 1.1.1992) or Rs. 22500-27300 (IDA) (post 1.1.1997) or Rs. 65000-75000 (IDA) (post 1.1.2007). (c) Desirable Persons preferably with technical/MBA/Diploma in Hotel Management and familiarity with finance, marketing/ production will have added advantage. Knowledge of hotel management/tourism development sector is desirable. 4. Age limit The minimum age limit is 45 years while the maximum age limit is 56 years for internal candidates and 55 years for others. Presently, the age of superannuation is 58 years. 5. Tenure The appointment will be for a period of five years or till the date of superannuation whichever is earlier. Incumbent shall be eligible for second term by way of renewal on good performance for another five years or till the date of superannuation, whichever is earlier. There shall be a performance review after a year of the first term of 5 years for confirmation of appointment. 5.
