–Preparing Today’s Child For Tomorrow’s World
What it means to be “mean” Your student had the opportunity to work with Dr. Marcia McEvoy on Monday and Tuesday. Dr. McEvoy worked with each classroom two different times during the two days she was here. Her message was about being assertive and standing up for oneself, but also how to appropriately treat others. You may hear your child say the following: “Mean behavior is any mean look, gesture, word, or action that hurts a person’s body, feelings, friendships, reputation, or property.” Dr. McEvoy will be working with Stanton Elementary and the Upper Elementary School later in the month.
