First Grade News
Important Dates 3/12 First Grade Field Trip
March 12, 2019
3/26 Quarter 3 ends 3/28 March STEM Project due
STEM Expo Our class will be hard at work this month creating a map for our robot friend, Beebot, to travel through. Please join us on April 5th from 5:30-7:30 at the STEM Expo to see our work! Aside from viewing the various grade level projects, there will be door prizes, contests, games, and food for purchase! We would love to see you there!
3/29 Teacher Workday (no school for students) 4/5 STEM Expo (5:30-7:30) 4/15-4/19 Spring Break 4/22 Teacher Workday (No school for students) 4/30 Gem Mining Field Trip
Gem Mining-Rescheduled Date!
March STEM Challenge from Ms. O March - Invent a modern home for Eggbert and his friends. It needs to fit in a downtown vibe. (Modern, small, but functional) Due March 28th, 2019
The third time’s the charm, so we have our fingers crossed that this will be the LAST time we have to reschedule our gem mining field trip to Blue Diamond Gems! See below for updated information about our field trip. When: April 30th, 9:30-1:30 Where: Blue Diamond Gems in Cary Cost: Everyone is paid for!
Classroom Wish List We could use the following items in our classroom:
Black dry erase markers (we use these daily!) Mini marshmallows (these are also used daily as “Blurt Puffs”) Colored pencils
