BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY STUDY TOPIC: 7 GIFTS OF GOD IN CHRIST (Part 2) DIRECTIVES FOR THE TEACHER In preparing for the Bible Study Class, all Bible study class teachers should personally study the outline in preparation for the cell meeting. You can also visit the Pastor Chris Digital Library to listen to the audio/video message.

During the meeting, please ensure your members have their Bibles and all the Scriptures in the outline are read; members have to look into their Bibles while the Scriptures are read for proper assimilation. In addition, don’t rush through the subject as you teach; remember that our intention is to have every member of the class understand the subject matter so that they can understand what the Bible teaches on the subject. Last week, we commenced studying the topic ‘7 Gifts of God in Christ’ and learnt the first four gifts which are: 1. Eternal Life 2. Righteousness 3. Fellowship 4. Holy Spirit This week we would complete the study on the subject ‘7 Gifts of God in Christ’ and we would be discussing the remaining 3 Gifts, which are: 5. Grace 6. The Name of Jesus 7. Citizenship

THE GIFT OF GRACE Ephesians 4:7 (KJV) “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” Grace is a gift that has been given to every child of God. You don’t need to qualify to function in grace; God has already given it to you immediately you became born again. Romans 5:17 (KJV) says “For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” Having received grace into your life, you have been called to reign and to live above the standards of this world. 1 Peter 1:10 (NIV) says “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”. You don’t need to pray for God to be gracious to you anymore; you should now administer God’s grace to other people. God expects us to administer His grace to others.

THE GIFT OF THE NAME OF JESUS Philippians 2:10-11 (KJV) “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” The Name of Jesus is a gift, and we’ve been given the power of attorney to use His Name; this means, we have legal authority to use the Name of Jesus. Jesus has authority and power everywhere; over all Nations, Governments and every other name. This Name has been given to us to use.

You don’t need faith to use the Name of Jesus; all you have to do is believe in the Name. Getting results using the Name of Jesus is the simplest thing in the world. John 14:13 (KJV) says “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” Be bold to pray in the Name of Jesus. Finally, the power of attorney to use His Name means that you can do anything in the Name of Jesus. Colossians 3:17 (NIV) says “And whatever you do, whether in Word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” This means there’s no limit to what you can do with the Name of Jesus, so be a conscious custodian of the Name.

THE GIFT OF CITIZENSHIP Philippians 3:20 (NIV) “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ” Your citizenship is from Heaven; you’re a heavenly citizen. It's not about to happen, or going to happen later on; the moment you gave your heart to Christ, you became a heavenly citizen. 1 Corinthians 15:52 (KJV) “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” This is possible because as Christians we have put on Christ. Right now our physical bodies don't look like His glorious body, as our bodies are different, but our bodies house the glory of God. 1 John 3:2 (KJV) “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

CONCLUSION

3

These gifts are given to us in Christ Jesus, they belong to us. You don't have to ask for any of these, as they’re part of your life now. Grace is yours, the Name of Jesus is yours and Citizenship in Heaven is yours. These things became yours immediately you gave your heart to Jesus. This is why we must preach the gospel everywhere through various medium, so that men would come into their inheritance in Christ.
