CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE CHAIRMAN: Alan Watts DEPUTY CHAIRMAN: Andrew Jaffray GENERAL MANAGER: David Lamrock GROUND MANAGER: Bill Towns ADMINISTRATION: Jayne West ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR: Judy Cosier

OUR COMMITMENT We recognise that the agricultural industry is a changing and challenging environment. To ensure we stay abreast of these changes we constantly talk to industry representatives, we listen to feedback received via our research programs, and act in a manner that delivers a modern and efficient event that will initiate a transfer of knowledge and products from innovative, relevant and committed exhibitors to primary producers. Our focus and responsibility is simple and clear: to ADVANCE AUSTRALIAN AGRICULTURE

2

Australian National Field Days is the oldest annual agricultural exhibition in Australia and 2008 marks the 57th event. As Committee Chairman I invite you to be part of this event, and offer you the opportunity to showcase your goods or services along with some 600 other quality exhibitors in helping us to fulfil our commitment in Advancing Australian Agriculture. Working as a non profit co-operative the ANFD Committee and Staff strive to provide our exhibitors and visitors with a field day experience second to none. This structure enables us to re-invest in our biggest assets, our site and our field day resources. The ANFD site has a bushland setting, and boasts excellent facilities, including • sealed roads • well grassed sites • many undercover areas • electricity to most sites • disabled access • shade and shelter and full catering and bar facilities. • on site security • full time staff, and a voluntary committee, we aim help you create the best possible exhibition. Our Feature Exhibit will be staged by the Country Women’s Association of NSW. Women make a major contribution to Agriculture and to the operation of many properties. The display will feature the many facets of the CWA and its involvement with agriculture. We welcome the CWA and look forward to its display. The Famished Café, an a-la-carte sit down restaurant with the Parched Bar alongside will be conducted by Edwina Mitchell Catering allowing Exhibitors and Visitors to enjoy gourmet food and local wine. An expansion of the undercover cattle area and the horse expo is also planned for this year’s event. The General Interest area re-named The House Paddock and divided into specialty pavilions will feature a new all steel shed. Demonstrations will continue to play an important part of ANFD and provide an excellent means of promoting your products. Hay making and tillage along with feed mixers will feature, as well as ATV and 4WDs all on purpose-built tracks. We encourage you to become involved and to suggest new demonstration concepts. ANFD is a quality event that brings together some of Australia’s most innovative and committed agriculture suppliers. We work to provide you with all you need to stage a successful event including a quality and focussed audience of visitors.
