SPEAKERS MIKE BREY – HEAD COACH – UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME Entering his tenth season as head coach at Notre Dame, Coach Brey has led the Irish to post-season appearances in each of his first nine seasons, including five NCAA tournament appearances which included a Sweet 16 in 2003, and a 188-101 overall record. Coach Brey was named Big East Coach of the Year in both 2007 and 2008, and his most recent Irish squad led division 1 in assist-toturnover ratio during the 2008-2009 season. Prior to being named head coach at Notre Dame, he was head coach at Delaware from 1995-2000, where he led the Blue Hens to a 99-51 overall record, including two NCAA tournaments, just the third and fourth in school history. Before becoming a head coach, he served as an assistant at Duke for eight seasons, where he helped the Blue Devils win over 76% of their games and the 1991 and 1992 national championships.

MATT PAINTER – HEAD COACH – PURDUE UNIVERSITY Coach Painter is entering his fifth season as head coach at Purdue, and his sixth season as a head coach. He has a career record of 83-50 at Purdue, and 108-55 overall as a head coach. The Boilermakers’ win total has increased each year under Painter, and they have won at least 22 games in each of the past three seasons. Each of those past three seasons have seen the Boilermakers earn NCAA tournament berths, advancing to the second round twice, and to the Sweet 16 this past season. After stints as an assistant at Washington and Jefferson, Barton, Eastern Illinois, and Southern Illinois, Coach Painter led Southern Illinois to a 25-5 record during the 2003-2004 season; his only season as head coach there. He was named Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year that season, and added a Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year award after the 2007-2008 season.

MAC PETTY – HEAD COACH – WABASH COLLEGE Coach Petty is entering his 34th season as head coach at Wabash College. Coach Petty has led the Little Giants to 20 or more wins on five different occasions; prior to his arrival, the Wabash program had seen only three 20 win seasons in school history. One of those seasons, 1981-1982, culminated in a Division III National Championship. His career record at Wabash is 459-375, 15th best among active division III coaches and 27th best all-time among division III coaches. Petty’s coaching career began at Loudon (TN) High School. In 1973, he became head coach at the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee. After three seasons there, and a 48-28 record, he came to Wabash in 1976, where he has the most wins in school history, and has twice been named NABC District Coach of the Year (1982, 1997).
