New~letter #170 - Dec. We have all heard the old cliche from the beginning, God has built for me a mansion in heaven. I want you to learn two Greek words "mane" and meno." "Mane" meaning: to stay, to abide, a resting place, a man· ~ion. "Meno" means: to stay, to abide, or to dwelL That is the prime root of "mane," which is to dwelt, abide, or rest m. Our Father has had a plan from the beginning. It has not been altered. It has not been changed.
I, 1992
What are the opposites of those? Have you ever thought about that'! I am the way! What is the opposite of the wav? To be lost, to be con fused. What is the opposite of the truth? A lie, a falsehood and the opposite of life is death. Eternal death.
l.mnnsions :
St. John 14: 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.
Hey! Don't worry. That's your Father speaking through the Son saying hey don't worry. You believe in God, believe also in Me. That is to say the Son is the Savior. St. John 14:2 In My Father's house are many man sions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
J want you to think in this respect. The Greek is going from below to above. In other words. Christ is 10 the flesh. The same as you are in the flesh and we are addressing going from below to above, up ward to a resting place. It is natural and it is the common teachings of Christ and the apostles that when one dies, the spirit; which is the intellect of the soul goes instantly to the Father that gave it. You go to one of those places to abide. St. John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
I will come again. What does that mean'! It means the second advent for one thing. It means something else too and we will discuss it a little later. St. John 14:4 ye know."
And whither I go ye know, and the way
Why'? You can find that way in His word if you win carefully understand the simplicity in which Christ teaches. Do you know the way? St. John 14:5 Thomas saith unto Him, "Lord, we know not whither Thou goest; and how can we know the way?'
He has walked with Him. He has talked with Him. It's so hard to get out of the flesh and un derstand the spirituality of things when Christ IS speaking In the spirit. It IS necessary if you are actually walking right with Him. St. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, :1 am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
St. John 14:7 If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also; and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him."
Bare in mind, if you have seen the ~on, you have seen the Father. This is very important, as far as the Godhead is concerned. We have only one God. W{" have only one Father. If you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father. St. John 14:8-9 Philip saith unto Him,'Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us." e. Jesus saith unto him, "Have I been so long time with you. and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then,'Shew us the Father'?
Again, if you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father. They are one, but different offices. Would you recognize the Father's works if you had seen them'! I thin k so. St. John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father That dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.
Do you believe that Christ is in the Father, and the Father m Me? He does the works. It is His supernatural ability that creates the work. So we see the Sonship. We have "een the Father. When you have seen one, you have seen the other. St. John 14: 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very work's sake.
In other words; believe Me becall<,e Lazarus came back to life four days after death. He was stinking in the tomb, meaning: he wa<; dead in the flesh. The Father gave him life through Me. Do you helieve that? Look at the miracles. St. John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall He do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.
Why would some person he ahle to do greater works than that? He just told YOll. He j!-, going to the Father, and who is it that actuaUy doe~ tht' work!,,'; The Father. He is going there (1<; y,mf adVllcatc. a:o. your lawyer, as your spokesman, it" )'llur helper. GI)d does the work and you either helieve if or you don 'I,

If you want His help you will believe it. If you don't believe it, don't try to waste His time. He knows whether you believe it or not. You don't con God. St. John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. When you ask in the name of Jesus Christ, that is the credentials to what? That you believe in Christ or you would not be asking in His name. What is serving our Father? He is talking about works of our Father. What do you ask for in the nalLe of Christ? Ask what you need to do "greater works" for your Father. The subject is God's work and God does the work. St. John 14: 14 will do it.
If ye shall ask anything in My name, I
This has nothing to do with asking for personal luxuries. St. John 14;15-16 If Ye love Me, keep My command ments . .1J. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever;
Abide is "meno." The prime root of mansion. St. John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
There is only one spirit of truth. Do you know what it is? It's the Holy Spirit. What does dwelleth mean? In the prime root, it means "meno," mansion. Is He beginning to tell us that we may already have a mansion here? Hey, that could get interesting, couldn't it? St. John 74: 18-2Q I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you . .11. Yet a little while, and the world seeth Me no more; but ye see Me: because I live, ye shall live also. !2 At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you.
We all live in the same house. We all live in the same mansion. He was to be called Immanuel being translated means 'God with us'. St. John 14:21 He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.
He will give him or her eyes to see Me, to feel Me, to hear Me. Do you hear Him from the word? Do the words of God jump alive off the very page, and speak to your heart and mind? Then He IS making Himself known to you. We all fall short, but when you repent He stamps you perfect. He is at home, right in your heart and mind. St. John 14.'22-23 Judas saith unto Him, not Iscariot, 'Lord, how Is it that Thou wilt manifest Thyself unto us, and not unto the world?' .l! Jesus answered and said unto him, 'If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.
What does the word abode used 10 this verse mean in the Greek? You've got it! It's not the prime root. It's not "meno" it's "mone." The very same Greek word that is used for mansion in verse 2 and it is the very same mansion; not going from down to up, but coming from up to down. Coming from heaven to earth. He will come to you and dwell with you. Let us summarize. The mansion used in verse 2 going from down to up, are mansions prepared for our loved ones who have preceded us in death. They are in paradise. The mansions used in verse 23 are for us today who believe in Him and do His works. They are from 'up' to 'down' for us today to step into and enjoy the warmth of the comforter. It is not an imaginary mansion but ever so real for us that are indwelling with Him, and He in us. Can we now understand why He would say in verse 1 'don't worry'? For if you believe, regardless of how ruff the storms of life, you dwell in a shelter that is insured and protected by our advocate who sits at the right hand of God. I wish you to note in verse 23 He said" We", both Father and Son will come to you. Practice what you believe, believe what you know. Believe the truth. Know the way. If you are in that way, God will bless you, and you will have a full cup. You will even have a cup that runneth over and others will share along the brim wherever that cup goes of God's blessing. Do you know what is the greatest gift in the world to give? It is to have a cup that runneth over, and your blessings bless everyone else. It can happen, dear one, when you believe. God shall overflow your cup when you take Him in. He wants to give you your mansion today. He wants to move in. I hope that you are able to taste that and to experience it. His covenant was to give you peace. Do you have that peace? If not, think about it, and pray about it. He wants to live with you, if you will let Him. In His Service,
~
