DESCRIPTIVE PAPER of one hour duration consisting of 5 questions with internal options on subject of specialization for specialist officers and 5 questions on socio-economic environment for probationary Officers out of which the Candidates have to attempt any four. The candidates have the option to answer the descriptive paper also in Hindi or English.

NOTE: Candidates have to pass in each of the objective and descriptive tests separately. Depending on the number of vacancies the qualified candidates for specialist officers will be merit ranked on the basis of total marks obtained in Objective Test and Descriptive Paper together. For specialist officers all candidates will be subjected to Objective Test followed by Descriptive Paper for respective specialization. Those candidates who have applied for two or more posts of specialist officers will have to take additional objective test and descriptive paper for each additional specialty one after the other. RESERVATION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: Reservation is available to Persons with Disabilities and Persons under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. Accordingly, candidates with the following disabilities are eligible to apply. Definition: > Visually Handicapped (VH) 1. All the eligible candidates will be invited for Objective type Written Test tentatively scheduled to be help on 29.11.2009 at Chennai at their own expense. Reserved category candidates who are initially considered in the Unreserved Category and who do not make it to the interview shortlist will be re-grouped with their respective categories for further consideration and candidates will be called for interview in the prescribed ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies in that category and trade. In case of a tie at cut-off marks, all the candidates scoring cut-off marks will be called for the interview. Later, at the time of final selection, the same method will be followed for all those Reserved Category candidates considered so far under Unreserved Category. Emoluments and other benefits: Selected candidates will initially be taken as Temporary Elployees for a period of one year. Challenged candidates is as per “The persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, protection of Rights and full participation Act 1995” Locomotor Disability means minimum of 40% of physical defect or deformity which causes an interference with the common functioning of the bones, joints or muscles. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. The Physically Challenged candidates are required to furnish duly stamped Medical Certificate in relation to their disability from Government Hospital or Medical Board attached to special employment exchange for the handicap. Processing/Examination Fees: A Non-Refundable Processing/Examination Fee of Rs.125/- is payable by the General and OBC candidates.
