Adult Choir Rehearsals!

I want to personally thank everyone that assisted me with the silent auction items. That includes everyone that helped with fixing basket items, donating items for baskets, the ministries and donated baskets, and all that helped with the set up at the hanger on Saturday. I could not have done this alone and it was with everyone's help that made it easier for me and the success that it was. I hope that I can count on this support in the upcoming years. A GREAT BIG THANKS to everyone from the bottom of my heart. Claudette Roberts

This ministry helps new parishioners by greeting them and being available to answer questions about our church and our ministries. These ministers greet visitors and assist the parish by providing initial information and direction to our potential new members. A warm smile and an enthusiastic disposition are all that is needed to become a member of this group. For more information about the Newcomer Ministry please call Judine Heard at 404.768.8376.

RCIA Our lives sometimes go through seasons of change; of closeness to God and distance from him. Yet God the Father’s love is steadfast and ever-present to those who seek with a sincere heart, no matter what sins or situations have caused separation. If you have thoughts about becoming Catholic and beginning a new “season” in your life, contact King Cooper at (770) 774-1182 for more information.

Obituary Our parish was saddened to learn this week of the death of one of our most valued members, Someone Else. Someone's passing creates a vacancy that will be difficult to fill. Else has been with us for many years and for every one of those years, Someone did far more than a normal person's share of the work. Whenever there was a job to do or a meeting to attend, one name was on everyone's list, "Let Someone Else do it." Whenever leadership was mentioned, this wonderful person was looked to for inspiration as well as results: "Someone Else can lead that project." It was common knowledge that Someone Else was among the most liberal givers in our parish. Whenever there was a financial need, everyone just assumed Someone Else would make up the difference. Someone Else was a wonderful person; sometimes appearing superhuman. Were the truth known, everybody expected too much of Someone Else. Now Someone Else is gone! We wonder what we are going to do. Someone Else left a wonderful example to follow, but who is going to follow it? Who is going to do the things Someone Else did? When you are asked to help this year, remember -- we can't depend on Someone Else anymore. -Author Unknown
